Wow and I thought calling them drones was bad. They are protoforms dammit!
no not all the protoforms/drones the transformer that does a summer-sault and then gets shot in the face and dies...was supposed to be a reference to some terminator thing...at least thats what bay said...
To be fair though, there WAS a robot in egypt with "TX-700" [or something like that, it was some Terminator Designation] written on his neck, he gets his head blown up pretty quickly.
Oh yeah,I remember that
my bad,I've just always been a bit defensive on the 'protoforms are not drones'deal lately
-the hell is somersaulting a Terminator reference?
He's talking about the number on it's armour
Or like the Alien reference when the Prime and Ratchet(?) enter the crashed spacecraft on the moon and spot the dead autobot sitting lifeless in that chair thing.
Ok, in regards to Cars, it's not just about 'The Nascar.'
The sequel is World Grand Prix race made up of about 11 racers, none of which have a Nascar-style body-type.
The hidden weaponry angle that you may have seen in the previews is more akin to the James Bond angle of spy cars with hidden weapons/gadgets.
given that the 3 nascar bots are all based off current real Nascars I would not say its impossible but it would just be a coincidence
i liked the first cars. i am not going to see the second one because it has nothing to do with the first. hardly has the same charaters. thats not a sequel.
so you're saying none of these fit the NASCAR style?

well it may be..but it sure looks like a toned down version of "speed stars"
If by cameo you mean Sideswipe appearing and splitting some cute cars in half, then I might watch Cars 2.
If you think that Miguel Camino and Jeff Gorvette are NASCAR cars, then fine, you won't really appreciate the [few] clips of WGP racing in Cars 2. Lighting McQueen is the only NASCAR -styled car on the grid and having been trained by Doc Hudson, is able to drive in an fashion unorthodox to the traditional methods of his particular series.
Ignoring all the comments saying that that would never happen, I'd pay double just to see McQueen getting shot down by the Wreckers in their suped up alt-modes.
i believe there was a Roadbuster cameo in the first one,
