But they flocked to movie for the books, not the actors. The actors may be the dominate presence now(and especially to us), but the source material is still the major draw.

 

To be perfectly honest, I still don't have a clue to why they are so interested in Twilight. So...be it they like the book, or the actors, I frankly don't care.

But as you said about TDK, they weren't focused on wtf was going on in the movie as much. Which is why I was approaching the topic of why they are more concerned with who it is, as ILD said.

 

As long as they watch the movie, I don't care what their motives are. Actors, plots, or just something to watch inbetween Twilight movies.

Though I'm willing to bet, a great many people don't get the appeal of comic films, yet watch them purely for actors involved. Just the nature of film.

 

Sad thing is...it seems to be the case in a lot of movies. When I see a movie, I learn not to care as much on who is staring, as much as I care for the story, (if it is an adaption)how good/bad it compares, if it has hot actresses in it: BONUS!

Though we all have our movies where we will watch just based on the actor/actress. If it has Bill Murray or Simon Pegg in it, I'm there regardless of what the movie actually is. Same with movies starting Keira Knightley or Rachael Weisz. The same can be said of directors too.

Because everything is connected to Twilight, everything! It's the 6 degrees of separation for popular culture.

 

True enough. Mine would be Milla...granted, I do end up liking the movies I choose to see with her in it.

 

I'll wait til the first trailer to give my judgement to see if he was a good choice or not.

He was alright in Street Kings and Sunshine, more than I can say about some of these other actors. At least the FF4 movies are forgettable enough their stink wont really affect Evans as cap too much.

The first one makes me think Evans might look like the role. But, can he lead the likes of Robert Downey JR's Iron Man and Chris Hemsworth's Thor or even fight off the ideals of Red Skull?

Hopefully, it'll be better than the 90's film.

 

I dont see him constantly stealing cars to get out of bad situations and getting his butt kicked by everyone and their grandmother.

I am mildly depressed over the choice of Chris Evans. He always has that same damn expression and his voice just does not seem like Captain America to me, Oh well.

 

I'd have preferred Mark Valley or Aaron Eckhart, but I'm willing to give flamehead a shot.
