    Hey guys,

I have a camera question today. How is the Canon Rebel t3i? I know it is an older model, but I found a pretty good deal on it with 3 lenses at $699.99. The three lenses are 18-55, 50 and 55-250.

It's almost too good to pass up, but I wanted to check in first before getting this. What do you guys think? Good price?

Hell yeah it's a good deal. Considering the 600D's a recent model and adding on the 3 lenses which are EF-S lenses, it's not bad a deal. Go for it dude.

It's great for an entry-level DSLR. The deal is also less that what I've seen it for. The 50 alone is worth about $100, so go for it.

I have this camera along with all 3 of those lenses and for the price they are fantastic! The 50mm lens has a short focal range and make for some really nice portrait shots. If you get this camera and you have some large-ish hands, I suggest getting a battery grip. It allows you to install 2 batteries for much longer run times and it makes the camera feel more substantial in your hands. The Meinke brand of battery grip works perfectly and can be had for around $35.

It's isn't a true 50mm focal length if the sensor is smaller than a full frame (35mm) sensor.

I bought the T3i two months ago and liked it enough. That's a pretty good price, iirc I paid about $800 for a package with two lenses (18-55, 55-250), camera bag (important as I was travelling), monopod, 16gb memory card, and a useless t-shirt.

Mind you I know next to nothing about cameras, went on vacation and practically all shots set on auto. Most pictures turned out alright, still a learning process.

True, the 50mm lens is more like an 80mm lens on a crop sensor, but its still a decent inexpensive lens. :)
