I was going to criticize you for the first sentence. But then I had no words for how much I agreed with the second. I'm so close to leaving this site for news/discussion and just checking ShowZ's updates for new pictures exclusively.

 

Granted, I haven't gotten anything from this set (yet), I really want to see what they do next with the Dinobots/Volcanicus.

Yup Surprised is the best word to describe my reaction. Even though this is a render, however this is the color scheme cang toys will roll with..
It's definitely eye catching also what a robotic lion would actually look like.
This is in weird way what I had in mind that keeps the theme of how the team look likes you know follow suit with one another.
This gonna be one of the figures you have to make the final judgment in hand. With that being said I hope cang toys captures missed opportunities other companies did, such as an ab crunch that works in both modes simulate the running of a lion.
How he's built he looks heavy, built solid like a damn brick, awesome.
Combine mode will be the final test ..will thundering hold his own weight? One thing I don't like doing, too much manipulation of legs, waist ect , spending too much damn time fidgeting instead of taking pictures.
One thing no one has not pointed put..ole lion mode, majority of it is gold, lions are actually golden brown..pretty cool cangs toy took advantage of that..
This fella is going to be my favorite to take pictures of.
If cang toys is reading this, please take your time with the gorilla make sure it's perfect..

 

Which is great, but their manes are alot darker to highlight their faces, my worry is that currently it all blends together on pics.
Hopefully you are right that in hand it may be different, but currently I fear his face gets blurred into his mane.

Wrong honestly not all lion manes are not dark..I wish it was though some manes are blond, nappy and some don't even have full manes .
One thing with this picture, it doesn't give the face justice..you can't see the full head..this is more of the cameras fault or cpu render they used..I am sure the head is proportionate.

It is a shame the wrists only swivel. I just noticed the really old silhouette of Predaking has his wrists slightly bent inward, while the actual wrists don't have any bends, only a swivel.

 

I doubt that will happen, they are a more serious company than Fanstoys.

Yeah, that's risky, but they ultimately decided to change some things along the route to improve the aesthetics and maybe the articulation.

I don’t think I’ve seen a single lion with a mane the same color as their face. It’s always a darker color than their face is.
