Another question: was it said somewhere why these pieces need swapped or if they’re just extras? Because looking the parts over and I’m not really seeing any difference. Unless it’s a material difference.

I’m definitely going to need to do some minor rearranging of my shelves to accommodate this beast. Plus old rivals will need to be separated to prevent any future conflicts. Because Terry the Terrible has arrived…

 

My understanding is that the pegs got stuck and broke when people tried to get them out so they changed the material to prevent that. The screws in there are a way to get a stuck peg out according to the video I watched from Cang.

 

To answer your question on this one, they are definitely needed and for good reason, which was the same reason why I held off on combined mode for these guys until I had received Hugerhino. The current parts used for the braces in combined mode have been reported numerous times to have broken off inside of Thorilla in combined mode when trying to move them. That's why there's extra screws included as well. To help get the broken pieces out from inside Thorilla where they plug into. Those are made of a stronger material and you won't have to deal with breakage once installed and moving them around..

God, he is gorgeous, the best looking combiner by far, anyway, this version of predaking will slap skylinx ass  

 

Now that I’ve transformed and combined the set back and forth a few times I can confidently say this is the worst, most frustrating set of TF figures I’ve ever owned. They look great in every mode but they’re awful in every other way.

 

Gonna have Thorilla as a standalone. From pics and vids, I can't see where I might take apart his gorilla head to paint the eyes. Those with him, can anyone have a look and see where a scew cover might be?

I like the idea of the wolves staying in dog mode instead of robot mode to be the Predacon’s pets, or hunters like Lockdown had in the Live Action Movies.

 

I’m just taking pics as I make progress to combining Predaking. I finally have all robot modes made into animals, and installed the improved parts on Horri-Bull and the Predaking leg braces. I’m finally ready for combined mode!

All instruction videos go from animal mode to combined mode, so getting there from robot mode has been a fun journey.

 

The main problem I have had with my Cang Toys figures so far is that Razorclaw’s pointer finger broke off at the hinge and keeps falling off now. It broke off when I was trying to transform his hands into lion mode and the fingers would not compress enough to fit in the compartment the hands hide in. I shouldn't have forced it in as much as I did I guess. I will be keeping this in combined mode, so I hope it doesn’t fall out of the figure and get lost forever
