I wonder if his teacher will believe his story as to why he didn't hand his homework in.

Props to the Dallas Police Department. That's so incredibly sweet of them!

Also, it takes a whole new level of scummy to steal from a kid with cancer. How disgusting.

Not that the thieves should be defended, but I highly doubt they were knowingly stealing from a kid with cancer - I don't see why this case should be treated any differently than any other theft.

I was trying to think of the same thing, but it seems like they knew. I'm sure the parents brought it up at some point.

They definitely knew afterwards, when cancer treatment records and chemo drugs fell out of the bag.

I don't see that at all. They were from out of town and eating at Denny's when it happened. It was just a random theft on an out-of-state car, nothing more.

Probably just some random kids who hopefully learned a lesson when they went through the stuff and found the medical records, and realized the full extent of what they did.

People need to pay attention. It's not like a Denny's in completely enclosed, in fact, they have just as many windows as a Burger King.

Moral to the story, lock your car and park it where you can see it.

Props to Dallas PD for doing that though.
