Either that or that Prototype is SURPRISINGLY coincidental. Any pics of it's Robot mode?
Yeah no that looks just like a coincidental prototype. Nothing on the blue sections has any paint. Still cool though.
Prototypes typically don't have paint.
That was my point. Prototypes also are usually made from a variety of colors. There were tons of purple and blue Classics Hot Rod prototypes made for example. So really this isn't any different from things we've seen before.
But it doesn't have paint.
The Transformers club(r.i.p.) can't use movie molds of on-screen characters, so if this was a figure in the works, it'd have to be a mainline AOE repaint or part of a store exclusive boxed set.
What they should really do is remold AOE Scorn into a T-Rex and give us a movie style Beast Wars Megatron because that mold is perfect for him.
AOE slash would probably work as beast wars dinobot too.
Is there a source for these pics, or are they yours Levandowski?
This appears to be a midnight special "prototype/test shot" of the existing Scorn toy. I don't see any differences that would make me think its another character.
I took the pictures
Dude, dont scare me that way! xD Looks like a prototype only. But yeh, remolding this Scorn as BW Megatron is a great idea.
But if it had a new robot mode head, then maybe you might be on to something.
That said it's most likely an interesting con incidence.
The head is the same. The coincidence is ridiculous if it is so.
Not really, the placement of colors is so different that the only real coincidence would be having a red, blue, and teal dinosaur. Don't get me wrong, that is coincidental, just not ridiculously so. Like others have mentioned, probably a lunch time special.
I'm still convinced Year of the Goat Soundwave was a lunchtime special that accidentally got produced in mass numbers.
Ah, Lunch Time Specials. Uhhh... they still make those?
They accidentally produced the toys, new artwork and boxes, and coordinated an outlet for sale? Seems like a pretty silly thing to be convinced of.
'Twas sarcasm. I just enjoy mocking YOTG Soundy's hideousness.
Yes, because it goes one of two ways.
A lunch-time special can either be
A) Factory made toys that don't completely pass QC.
B) Factory made toys made and then stolen by the employees to make a quick buck on the side.
So yeah, they'll always be lunch-time specials.
Pretty sure this is just a coincidence in the colors.
