A picture is worth a thousand words If that's not enough, check out my video review.... I hate it when Hasbro screws up and gives us canucks sucky Dollarstorish packaging! Kev
That's...that's just insanely ******ed. I mean, they could at least had redesigned the card to make the obviously missing art a little less...obvious. Which, of course, doesn't answer the question "Why did they remove it?".
cause its cheaper to pump out generic cards that can be used for every joe released. just add sticker. very lame. I think they did it cause, they didnt want to do the english/french/spanish languages all over the U.S. Joes, cause that ruins the nostalgia, makes em not like the originals, defeating the purpose, so instead of making a whole line of cards WITH that, they just opted to make the generic ones and slap the multi-language stickers on em. In the end, sucks for Kanucks, but glad the U.S. cards aren't plastered with wordage like a cardboard rosetta stone.
Man I've seen your video. Its very intertwining. Funny ass hell. I feel for you guys in Canada. Those cards are puketastic!! They should have instead made the cards smaller if all they wanted to do was save money. Maybe the size of a hot wheel card... Anyway.... Keep up the good work D-Compose... I love your reviews.
Kev, You should send a link to your vid to Aaron Archer. He doesn't deal with the Joe line, but could forward your concerns to the right people. If not, it might be time for another road trip to Rhode Island... & show Hasbro HQ what their Canadian counterparts are up to. LoL
This way, they make 1 card over and over. Its cheaper than making the whole range, plus they've only been releasing 25th Joes in Canada since wave 5, so having all the others on the back of the cards wouldn't make sense and they'd have to change that too. This is a cheaper route since they sell much less than the states. In the end, it looks like the decision was cheap cards, or no Joes.
I had actually ask some of the peeps at Hasbro when I was in Rhode Island about "Hasbro Canada in Longueuil, Quebec" and they said that they didn't even know that Hasbro had a facility there
You know, I'd like to simply SEE some 25th Joes here in Canada, whatever the card looks like. Up to now, I've ordered everything online.
well i found wave6 in a local store today and they all had card art. on the back of the card it says longueuil qc canada.
Just boot Quebec out. They can be their own happy little French nation and everyone else can be normal.
Hell, almost everyone in Quebec speaks English anyway... Why bother with the multilingual cards to acknowledge 1 of 2 official languages in one province? (this comes from a speaker of the French language...)
