Picked this up at local toyshow recently. It's different than what I've seen in U.S. retail. Is this the Canadian version? and if so, is it also worth as much as the U.S. one?

The only thing that's different is the language on the packaging and printed materials. That the trilingual packaging for the Americas.

Any idea on the value of it? I paid quite a bit for it.

It's actually quadrilingual since there's four languages on it (English, French, Spanish and Portuguese).

I know that "trilingual" is commonly used as a fancy-word shorthand for "more than one language", but words do mean things! :)

I forgot they put Portuguese on ROTF packaging. It's not always there.

And you'd have paid the same price for the English only US stock. Or the 8 language European packaging. The General rarity of the end of ROTF Human alliance figures is the reason for the price you paid.

Yeah, I've been paying some attention to Canadian/Latin American packaging for both Transformers and Nerf, and the inclusion or omission of Portuguese seems a little... arbitrary? I haven't noticed anything resembling a pattern there.

ROTF introduced Portuguese halfway through (between the Bumblebee/Soundwave "Preview" wave and the Cannon Bumblebee/Interrogator Barricade/Mudflap/Ravage wave of the Deluxes), but since then, it seems to come and go with little rhyme or reason.

The packaging on modern toys doesn't really make a difference in value.

I remember being taken aback a bit when I noticed it on Mudflap's card.

Unless it's a really extensive package change. Like Alts.

Though I don't know if they count as "modern."

They say mean things, as well. Words are bullies.

I'd be glad to have an HA Mudflap of any sort.

I would personally be more likely to keep an American single Language toy for posterity and open a European one.

But with the current toys not having much text on the boxes I suspect that sort of thing is a bit less important than it was when they had lots of info on the boxes.

I meant there's no difference in price between multilingual packaging and US (English only) packaging.
