I'm a 5'9" white dude and I weigh 250 lbs. What makes me think I can play basketball.

I take my kids all the time to this playgorund by my house. And there are some basketball courts next to it. I decided to buy a basketball a couple weeks ago and shoot hoops to get some excercise. The funny part is when I act all suprise that I can't sink shots like LeBron James. I throw up bricks and act all suprised that they aren't making that awesome swish sound going thru the net.

It reminds me when i was younger and my dad was still alive and I'd go golfing with him. And I'd be suprised when my tee shots would end up in the woods or on different holes. And I'd spend the rest of the afternoon acting suprised that I was playing so badly.

Does anyone else out there have high expectations of themselves only to get dashed the moment they actually do something. lol.

If I throw a ball, I'm always astounded if it doesn't land at my feet.
