Mystery Solved! Kinda... someone over at CollectionDX provided this pic, but I can't read the Japanese so I still have no clue as to its origin, LOL.

If you can read Japanese and are looking at this thread, please help! :)

As promised, here are some higher res images of the mystery gun transformer that I have yet to identify.

Does anyone know who this is? LOL

And if it wasn't cool enough, here's where the crazy gimmick kicks in!

The Soundwave-like shoulder cannon dismounts and becomes the barrel of another gun! Here's the nozzle, trigger bits, and handle. I think it fires missiles because it is spring loaded.

Oh I forgot one more thing - the Soundwave-like cannon can be attached to the revolver a la Megatron.

This thing is incredible!! If you have any idea what this is, where it came from, please let me know!

    Thanks again, guys.

One more thing - his arm scope came with another hollow gun shell that merges with it to become another gun!!

I did some research and found that it is not Robot 357 ! ! !

Any idea on who this guy could be? Here are more pics -

    Gun mode + scope
    [IMG]

Scope + gun shell = ANOTHER GUN THAT SHOOTS PELLETS OMG ! ! ! (with fake orange tip, lol)

The additional gun that disassembles - tuns into scope, trigger bits, and handle
    [IMG]

    Bot mode + weapons
    [IMG]

    Can anyone assist?

    Thanks!

I've only ever seen Megatron, and the Diaclone Browning. These look really cool.

Can you post a picture of the revolver one in robot mode?

yeah, i too am familiar with the megs, browning, magnum, the various majin gun lines, but i have never ever seen this guy before.

the bot mode that you see in the post above is the revolver transformed. the second gun turns into scope with the attachments.

I'll post some hi-res stuff once I'm back Stateside. My upload speed here is atrocious, hence the tiny pics lol.

I'm inclined to say this is my rarest random TF find.

    YOUR research Failed you.

    (taken from HERE)

This is quite the odd little piece. This 357 Magnum Robo isn't a Transformer or a Microman Gun Robo. He is a Trasformer! The .357, which is really a .38 police special, is very similar to the series of Gun Robos in the Microman line, but does not replicate any one Microman piece. Despite this, he is an obvious Microman descendent, as one look at his head would attest.

He transforms from a very realistic looking gun and scope to a tall, lanky robot with a large, protruding barrel for a chest! He comes with a box of plastic bullets that can be loaded into the chamber and fired by the normal means. The cylinder chamber, trigger and thumbcock are all made of metal while the rest is entirely plastic. He is billed as a Trasformer and seems to have been released after 1983, which means he probably has closer ties to Takara's Transformers line than to the Microman line.

This particular Gun Robo was released by Gig, licensed from Takara. It is not known whether there are other Trasformers or not, but it is suspected that there are.

And to clarify what TRASFORMER actually is, Here's some TFwiki-Foo tossed your way. :lol

your original post was very misleading due to the first 2 photos you posted.

The second set of photos you posted are totally different toys. :/

The gun in the first pic is the 357 as you stated. However the one I posted in the subsequent post is completely different.

    Their transformation is nothing alike!

    The mystery deepens :)

Oh and the legs are entirely cast in metal save for the feet.

Yeah, I looked up and down and no manufacturer marking, which leads me to believe that it is a HQ KO of sorts...

Holy-nightmare fuel! I read your post, then thought "Yeah, that masked woman is really unsettling". Then I made the mistake of looking to the left, and the unzipping facewoman pic jumped out at me. Ugh! Disturbing. :p

I would have to thank knockoff for introducing me to that movie, one of the few horror movies that I like.

I still use it to scare my wife.
