Can you convert GME PS1 games files to be read on a PS3?

    I have a GME game file that I downloaded from Gamefaqs.com for RE3. Is there a way to convert this so I can use this file to play RE3 on my PS3 (I know I can play it without the file, just wanted to start with infinite ammo and such)? I checked the net and was not able to find what I was looking for.

    Plan on buying the memory card adaptor first, then a Dexdrive to stick said file on a PS1 memory card.
