Or rather I should say is it possible to do so and would you want to? Looking back at older Transformer canon I see alot of different worlds and lore that most end up incomplete or finish to soon.

Besides the obvious ones like Transformers ReAnimated or Primal Warfare, I've always been intrigued by the idea of things like another entry to the Unicron trilogy or perhaps a new season of Prime. I would cry tears of joy if they ever brought back the Lost Light for an encore.

Sometimes a sick part of me even wants to see how much further Beast Machines could go, or even see RID2001 get more added to its lore with the insecticons.

I'm always down for new stories in old continuities. In most instances, I prefer stories and universes continue over reboots and rehashes. If Transformers rebooted every time a story was concluded, we wouldn't get the awesome Season 3 of the cartoon with insane Galvatron and the Quintessons toying with their creations, or the Shrektastic Generation 2 comics, or Beast Wars or Beast Machines.

No unfortunately they won’t really do that with anything after beast machines they might throw some homages to old series or make figures of characters from different continuities or have them in the comics but that’s it

It's happened before (Regeneration One comes to mind) but it doesn't happen often. I certainly wouldn't mind revisiting old continuities, though.

Anything's possible, but I think the likelihood of it happening is small. Once they move on from a series, it would be sort of confusing to revisit it years later. Especially after the kids who grew up with a show have aged out of it. They'd have to explain to the general audience why the new season is part of an old show instead of a current show. That's why you don't see a Toby McGuire Spider-Man 4 or another Batman movie with Christian Bale. They've moved away from those timelines and started new ones. There are cases where an old timeline gets revisited (like the upcoming Ghostbusters or Star Trek: Discovery), but that doesn't happen too often.

I think the Bayverse would be the most likely candidate to be revisited. If future (hypothetical) reboot movies were to flop horribly, I could see Paramount trying to revisit the timeline that made them several billion dollars. I don't think something like Prime really has any reason to be revisited. The story wrapped up, and the story wasn't even a particularly strong aspect of that show (at least, I've never considered it a strong aspect). Are there really a lot of people wondering what happened next in the Prime universe? For me RID2015 was a fine continuation of that timeline, and I think it was smart to do something different. Personally, I think MTMTE/LL ran its course long ago and definitely doesn't need to be continued. But that's just the way I feel.

On a personal level, I prefer to get new stuff. Money spent on continuing an old show/comic/whatever is money that could be devoted to giving us something entirely new and fresh. The beauty of Transformers is that new stories and timelines often take inspiration from past incarnations. Transformers isn't really a "canon-based" franchise like Star Wars or something. Most of the time I don't really care what happens in a particular timeline after a story ends. If there are any rules that made a certain universe interesting, those same rules could easily be applied to a new timeline. Unless something ends on a cliffhanger, I say just leave old timelines in the past and move on to new exciting things.

Would I want to revisit stuff? Yes.
Is it likely to ever happen? No.

Personally, I'd love BW to be redone with current CGI. Keep the same V-O track even and just update the animation.

I'm of the mind to let sleeping dogs lie, I can't think of a single series, Transformers or not, where revisiting/reinventing a better concept has ever worked. Better to just move along in the timeline or start a new one.

So like how that Pokemon: The first movie was handled? Which CGI animation company would tackle it though? I'm not sure if Hasbro would hire Mainframe to redo it again.

Is the company who did Prime still around? All I know is I love BW, but unlike 2-D animation it hasn't aged well (thought it was groundbreaking at the time) which is such a shame because the storytelling is still top-notch.

Or we could just wait until Disney buys Hasbro someday and let Pixar do it.;)

Personally I believe a series "time and place" is part of its charm. That's why I LOATHE the IDW Marvel recolors (SOUNDWAVE IS PURPLE!) and still love BW to this day. Its not about "aging". Beast Wars is unique and dynamic and the passionate effort of the animation team shows in every episode. And Beast Machines holds up to modern standards for childrens TV, technically. Its just the odd aesthetic you don't like not the technical quality of the animation.

But I personally find it vapid and small minded to insist that anything produced in times past that wasn't photorealistic or something is somehow "inferior" to what new special effects can do.

You know what? New special effects aren't all that special. They've reached their peak. ILM does MOST of the work on EARTH. The fun fact for us is their work on TF07 was the kick start of this new photorealistic CGI phenomenon, but at this point it's a natural expectation, almost.

Yes, it's a lot of hard work, but it's not innovative anymore. They CAN and DO make photorealistic anything anytime they're paid too.

I find the most artisty to admire in things that face real technical challenges and overcome them. Like the original unmolested Star Wars movies, the Evil Dead trilogy, Beast Wars, contemporary independent pieces, etc.

    My 3 cents.

I would love a "cold war" prequel story preceding Armada set in the truce after the Mini-Cons left (that admittedly was just something the dub made up) that could show how Scavenger trained Optimus and Blurr, how Red Alert lost his hand and grew as a medic, show off Hot Shot and Wheeljack's friendship in depth, properly establish Thrust as a cunning and ruthless tactician, and maybe even explain what the fuck is up with Overload, and just generally do some worldbuilding.

I can't imagine this being done for anything except G1 and I guess one day movieverse.
It's aready happened twice with the G1 comics(regeneration 1 and the new idw '84 series).

Thats not to say I wouldn't want them to do more RID or UT again, the thought of one day getting TFA season 4 would be a dream. These continuities aren't really mainstream or timeless enough for this to be viable really, can't really make a continuation of something that modern audiences haven't seen. Transformers is still primarily a childrens show and i cant imagine there's many people under age 20 who've seen the shows from RID-Cybertron.
