Anti-Magic Anti-Magic - TV Tropes Anti Magic Anti-Magic is an opposing power to actual magic, which is able to nullify/cancel it out. It's an opposing force, like fire and water/snow, and it can be used by anyone who is not magic, including scientific/technological beings. It would only matter though if the Transformers, either Autobots or Decepticons, were attacked by a bunch of mages, because this ability is pointless unless there's magic involved. But otherwise, it might be something interesting to see.
Yes, yes they can. But, do not forget, best magic is always gun. Which makes it worthless to Cybertronians.
Well, in my AU/Fanfiction, Decepticons (a part of the military of world) had anti-magic. So they can blocked any witchcraft/magic from any witch (Autobots is a witch clan in my AU).
Only if it is a part of Shrekformers. I want to see Lord Farquaad employ Drek's Head to remove his kingdom of all fairy tale Transformers, including the Ogrebots and DeShrekticons. Kind of like how Fairy Godmother and Rumpelstiltskin's magic have loopholes that can cancel them out and return things to normal. Outside of Shrekformers? Not at all.
I don't think mages have ever been enemies in Transformers... But either way I'd like TFs to stay away from any overtly fantasy elements.
There's actually plenty of instances of magic in TFs. Why not? Fantasy elements work perfectly well in science fiction.
You made Autobots a witch clan, that sounds interesting. The IDW comic Transformers vs Visionaries had the Darkling Lords, villainous mages who attacked Cybertron.
The scope of magic has been limited in the franchise - so the scope of anti-magic would logically be even more limited in scope. One could argue that the Matrix of Leadership is a magical McGuffin device as well. Wisdom of the ages is just wisdom...and wisdom is not a magical beam that fixes your worst problems, be it a giant space robot or a viral program infecting the race.
