Did anyone feel like DOTM was Michael Bay trying to recreate TDK. I was thinking about it and came up with this: A: Save the girl TDK - Batman runs out to save Rachel and goes to save her and not Dent DOTM - Sam goes to Chicago to save Carly B: Location TDK - Primarily filmed in Chicago DOTM - Half the movie took place in a war zone in Chicago C: The Music TDK - The Dark Knight Soundtrack - I'm Not A Hero - YouTube DOTM - Transformers 3 D.O.T.M Soundtrack - 14. "It's Our Fight" - Steve Jablonsky - YouTube Call me crazy, but something seems oddly familiar. D: The Ending TDK: Batman becomes an outlaw and has to face his new "life" on the run DOTM: The Autobots are stranded on Earth and have to face their new life with there home destroyed Anyone want to discuss?
"Save the girl" is a pretty standard movie contrivance, the Chicago thing could be chalked up to coincidence, I guess. And I don't have time to compare the songs ATM, so no comment there.
The place that the Autobots hanger was is the same bank used in the Dark Knight...I think. Regardless. You can never compare DOTM to TDK, Becauset hey aren't the same genre. TDK is a pyschological movie about one man's vigilantism to clean up his city. DOTM is a war movie with little charecterization, and loud big explosions.
