well phooey, pulse restocked Cosmos last night but already sold out

 

2 Ironhide at the Irvine Spectrum Target about an hour ago.
Found the Gi Joe Twins and Stalker at the Target in Laguna Niguel off La Paz - but bought them up.

 

If any of yall see deadend or rumble in the oc area let me know! Tgose are pretty much all im interested in currently.

 

Rocklin and Roseville targets are completely dry

 

So for those of you who have SS86 Ironhide, what are your thoughts on it? The reviews page is trashing it and I haven’t opened mine yet. Debating whether to keep it or not.

 

Love him, easily the best version of Ironhide from the mainline. He has some little annoying tabs in places but overall very pleased. I've also accepted the fact color matching is impossible for Hasbro as Ironhide has 3 shades of red

 

keep it! it’s the best Itonhide (imo) to date…the poseability is everything!

 

You all aren’t having any trouble getting hit to tab together correctly? That seems to be the leading concern.

 

Tabbing together has been a breeze on my copy. I think the main concern I’ve seen is people having a hard time detaching the hood piece from the windshield going from van to robot. But honestly it’s not as bad as some have made it out to be once you familiarize yourself with the transformation.

 

My only complaint is the lack of weapon ports. Otherwise I'm having fun with him like I did with SS86 Hot Rod. So much fun toy in a small package.
Though I did modify his pee flap...

 

I mean they aren't the greatest but I've dealt with far more finicky tabs on 3rd party figures.

 

It's more difficult to UNtab than anything else

 

Hint for Ironnhide transformation from robot to van (last step) . Push the red piece down right before tabbing in. To release it; try to give pressure on only one side with one of your thumb on the front side window; the other thumb on the center side panel to release the tab. That way will become alot easy .

No, don't warm the blade. Just use a rejoice
Regular hobby knife and be patient. That way you don't run the chance of warping the plastic

 

very hard to snap the front windshield in place with the roof...the lack of striping is understandable given how two hinges overlap that stretch...the leg panels with the windows had to go somewhere I guess...but those are all pretty minor quibbles, he looks so good in bot mode and is better than the already pretty good Earthrise version, but more of a toon style

Also, my only complaint is the missing yellow stripe?

 

Just a sharp knife and patience.
And I think the missing stripe is because the majority of the side panel is nylon which doesn't hold paint. The stripe would look awful with the giant gap in the middle.
But that's just conjecture.
