Saw MPM Ratchet at Target....His price tag of $119 is definitely not justifiable, IMO

Anyone in OC see a Blitzwing up anywhere? The one I was able to get had a defect where the wing tip was loose and feel off, so I returned it.

I mean I could also wait a few days till Oct 1 but thats no fun.

 

I did see one but I bought it. It was Target in Irvine last Friday night. I think the wing tips being loose is a common thing, mine pop off pretty easily too but it's not a deal-breaker.

 

MPM Starscreams are starting to hit 70% off. This one was at Fox Hills mall:



They're sold out, of course, and, if you already bought it, you may not be able to get a price adjust at that location either. I tried and they told me they wouldn't do it for a clearance item.

 

I’m just surprised that mpm went to clearance so fast.

 

Yeah, I don't get it. Even if they're not selling, you'd think they'd sit on them longer.

 

I returned a MPM Starscream at Target Vallejo for $150 and then ended up picking the last one on the shelf for $45. I thought $75 was a great deal.

Also went to Walmart Martinez this morning and all they had was about 12 ER Snapdragons along a couple Starscreams.

 

They massively overstocked these mpms.

 

Plaza Bonita Target had some ROTF Soundwaves, a Skipjack, and some ER Voyagers (though only Wave 1 & 2).

E Street has some Soundwaves, a Hotlink, some Netflix Chromias and a Mirage... I think there was an ER Hoist as well? The weirdest thing I found though was that for some reason, there was a SS GRIMLOCK. I'd expect stuff from Wave 5 or 6 to be there, in fact, I've seen it there before, but I've NEVER seen a Grimlock there. Packaging was slightly cut in the top left corner, but the figure looked fine from what I saw, and the transaction went fine.

Grimlock's currently now part of my collection, doesn't seem to be any issues with him. No idea why there was a Wave 1 Leader there when it wasn't there before, but I ain't complaining, easy Grimlock is easy Grimlock.

Yeah, that with Ratchet coming out nearly a month later likely meant that clearance was the best option to get rid of the glut of product, because it's very likely that no parent bought a Masterpiece figure for their kid earlier due to their complexity. If I could find a set of MPM Starscreams at a Target that was still carrying DOTM Megatron, you know you've done something wrong... but hey, cheap Masterpiece is a price I can go for.

 

Oakland Target: 2 Earthrise Battle Squads, 1 Sky Lynx, 3 Cyberverse Battle Call Bumblebees, and 5 of Studio Series Leadfoot.

 

I don't think they overstocked them, but rather the price point was a little too high. Remember when people on this site was complaining how MPM Bumblebee and Prime were just too hard to get. I think everyone who wanted one, got one. Flippers didn't feel like getting it because it was too expensive to flip.

 

I just got a message my Ratchet Amazon set is supposed to arrive Friday....

 

Richmond Target: 3 Doublecrossers (bought 1, left 2), ER Micromasters from waves 1-3 (a bunch of Military and Hot Rod Patrols, 1 Astro Squad, 2 each of the Race Track Patrol and Battle Squad), and 2 Studio Series Leadfoots.

 

Same. Mind hadn’t shipped yet but delivery is now scheduled for Friday. I was about to cancel it. I guess Amazon read my mind and decided to get it to me early to I wouldn’t.
