    Hey, I dunno if this is going to be frowned upon in the sightings thread, but I would appreciate hearing people report about the various QC issues evident in early reviews. Curious if there are any out there not plagued with the dreaded hip issue and I imagine others will as well (especially ones found locally). But shout me down if you disagree.

    Saw these around lunch time:

    San Jose South Target (Cottle Rd): TLK Voyager Hound & Megatrons. Various wave 1 TLK deluxes and wave 3 Titans Returns figures
    Walmart on Almaden Expy: Titans Returns voyager Optimus and Megatron one of each. They are located with the TLK figures in the toy section (a row or two up from where the TF's are normally kept).
    Toys R Us on Blossom Hill / Almaden Expy: TR Sixshot and Skyshadow (bottom shelf of a center display in front of the Transformers section at the front of the store; near cash registers). I think two of each.
    San Jose Toys R Us at the Plant: Picked up the last TLK Leader Megatron. One Leader Optimus on the shelf (where the TFs usually are kept). Had some of the exclusive deluxe Megatrons there and one TR Trypticon.
    San Jose Target at the Plant: TLK Voyager Hound & Megatrons.

    The sightings thread is really just for toy sightings and not for reporting QC issues. It would be best to keep it that way (as it makes it easier for people checking out the site on a smart phone while at the store). We do have a feedback and review section to search out that info if you wish.

    Soo... Prime and Megatron are finally showing up but Blitzwing and Octone appeared for only a couple weeks. Wow...

    I figured - I just thought there might be some value to others in knowing if working figures had been sighted locally. They are out there, as there have been a handful of reports, but I'm not sure where they are.

    Actually the waves appeared in the order they were supposed to be released. Voyager Prime and Megatron came out...saw both at Target and Walmart. Then Voyager Blitzwing and Octone came out. Saw those at Target primarily. They disappeared for a few weeks and then a restock. Now old stock coming in again and back to Voyager Prime and Megatron if you can even find stores that have TR Voyagers!

    Still see plenty of TR Deluxe W4 surplus but no sign of W5 anywhere...

    If a figure with a widespread QC issue has been traced to a specific batch number(s) on the packaging it is ok to post something like this: "Found figure X at Target today. The number stamped on the box is 12345, which many samples are known to have QC issues". What we don't want is to have posters rate each and every figure they purchased QC wise and then go into detail on how their figures stack up in a sightings thread.

    The fact of the matter is that these figures are mass produced and no one really has any way of knowing the QC of most figures until they are removed from their packaging. You and I could walk into the same store, we each pick up a copy of the same exact figure (which happens to be sitting next to one another on the shelf), with the same batch number, but you could get a perfect specimen and I could end up with a QC nightmare.

    Saw a Chaos on Velocitron set and most of the newer Titan Returns figures at the TRU in Cerritos earlier today. No Trypticon unfortunately.

    Pinole TRU had 1 Trypticon and 2 Primus.

    Have yet to see the new MP10, but I fear I'd be tempted to pick one up. Landing the first TRU MP-10 in-store years back by sheer chance is a hard experience to beat, but that mold in that packaging is tough to pass up.

    Yeah but it's not the ones you guys find. Mostly Broadsides unfortunately.

    Isn't it a little too early for Wave 5? Wave 4 came out just like a month ago right? Or is that just me?

    That completely makes sense. And we haven't zeroed in on the batch number, if that even makes a difference. Thank you for explaining.

    Any TR Wave 5's been seen around here? Been seeing a lot of restocks of figures I haven't seen in my area in forever like the previous waves of TR. Gonna go hunting tomorrow for some figures I missed from previous waves and am hoping I can also snag Misfire and Twin Twist.
