too bad OC is just an endless ocean of mudflaps and (no pun intended) the first waves of HftD and Generations

Blame it on the retailers overstocking on Wave one stuff...

they don't really control what assortment they get. They order it from a warehouse and they put out what the warehouse gives them. after that its totally random/luck to get a new wave early.

I don't think that's right, at all. As I understand it, each product line (generations, HFTD) has a separate SKU for each of the waves in that set, which come in a mixed box. When they order a new series (e.g., HFTD) wave 1 is the ONLY thing available. So, while it's true that they can't avoid getting some of a low demand figure (e.g., Tuner Mudflaps), they can control what waves they get.

The problem, apparently, is that retailers aren't in the loop on Hasbro's release schedule. Rather than ordering enough boxes to make it to the next wave, they're ordering enough of wave one to supposedly match a whole season's needs. Sadly, the result is that they actually sell less because all they have is the same merchandise out that no one wants.

What's needed is either better scheduling on the part of retailers and/or more education on Hasbro about when they'll have something new for the retailers.

Well I managed to get a Straxus McDarkmount at Santa Ana Walmart and left a WFC Megatron. The prices were back to $13 so I didn't feel like getting both.

If anyone else is as tired as I am for searching for th new waves, TRU.com has Darkmount and Red Alert in stock and hasbrotoyshop.com has pretty much all the new deluxes except Red Alert.

Hey in case anyone is interested, the TJ maxx near me has no HA mudflap, but it does have 3 each of animated wreckgar and atomic lugnut for 12.99. Anyone in Sacramento area in need? Also a HA barricade for 19.99. I was there @ 6PM.

Theres a TRU off of Morena BLVD. They tend to have some good stuff, a lot of Animated stuff that the other TRUs never seem to get. I havent been there in a few weeks as the closest one to me when I go is the Grossmont one. I may take a swing by there this week though.

I also picked up a knock off G1 Devastator and G1 Defensor at Big Lots the other day. The play quality isn't that great but they look pretty good on a shelf in combine mode.

I checked out Ross and Marshall stores in SF, Daly City, Pacifica and San Bruno... No HA toys. Marshalls in San Bruno did have animated skywarp and gray sounwave for $12.

I suppose we won't see HA MF at our discount retailers since there was no overflow of this item here in the west coast. However, since these were swelling in Canada as I figured, they somehow filtered to neighboring areas (i.e. NY..) so their discount retailers would have them, hence the sightings there!
