It'd explain his extreme protectiveness of Tessa. He's also pretty young to have a daughter her age so methinks that's his problem with Shane. They're both young...like he was....

That's a good route for the story too. If Tessa's mom had been killed in Chicago, I don't think Cade would be very excited to find Optimus....or provide any resistance when KSI showed up to capture him.

It's also a pretty believable, relatable issue for fathers. I know I'd be nervous as hell if I had a daughter who looked like Tessa...lol

 

Her ass would be chained up lmao. I have a son now and my wife is pregnant again now. I'm scared as shit to have a daughter because I know I'll be so protective of her lol.

 

Yeah it just feels like such a missed opportunity to explore the reason why humanity would extend their dislike to the Autobots (other than "humans that are not the main good guys are asshats by default).

Whatever they do, as long as it's done well, will be cool though.
