    Highlights for issue 50 include:

Taking on the Symbiote Dinos in Manhattan.
Human torch swallowing a Symbiote loogie.
Deadpool using Wonderman as a surfboard.
Referring to Ares as "Dude I don't know."
DP becomes Venom for 2 pages, until he stabs out his own brain with Cable's mystic Psymitar.
And my favorite part, Deadpool argues with Spider-Man during the battle, and brings up Mephisto's deal to an oblivious Spidey.
The final issue before a new Deadpool solo title with a new creative team to ruin it. I started reading with issue 15 and despite mostly highs and some lows, I got every issue ever since. I will miss this title dearly.

I smiled a lot during this issue. :)

It was a marvelous way to close this epic saga, just right. Deadpool learned how awesome it is to outshine the entire Marvel universe at heroism, he showed Peter how you really deal with sybionts (Deadpool says it's right dammit), Bob has got him some lovin' comin' from the wifey, Nate still loves Wade, and the series ended right where it began.

I'm not one to have a closed mind, but I don't know if the next creative team can do this justice. But I'll give them a chance.

Fantastic end to a fantastic era. Deadpool thinking he was an Avenger was great. I'm going to miss this book a lot.

I still need to get the book, then figure out which ones I own consecutively and get the trades for the owns I'm missing. Loved the series for almost every issue and I'm going to miss it. Especially the supporting cast Deadpool has amassed over the last few years.

Me too. But then when I was done the fact set-in that Nicieza /Brown wouldn't be writing Deadpool for a while (never say never) and then I got really depressed. :cry

That was a perfect series finale. It blended great action and great Deadpool humor in just the right amounts. I can't think of a single thing in this issue that left me disappointed or wanting more.

The special features in the back were nice, too. I spent about three minutes staring at that hidden pictures thing by Patrick Zircher and I still didn't find everything. The top ten moments really drove home how great this book was and how much I'm going to miss it. :(

I loved when Zircher was on the book. Actually bought a cover for issue #20 from him for $100. I wish I had more cash because he had pretty much every cover he did. And I really wanted the cover for issue 12 with DP and Agent X. But issue 20 was great also.

I actually ended up talking to him at Chicago one year and he gave me his e-mail. Tried e-mailing him when I had the cash but never heard back. Ah well. One day I'll find that art again.

Been reading since issue #1. I'm going to miss this book for sure. I have always loved Nicieza's work. Always loved Cable, became a fan of Deadpool thanks to this book.

I loved this book and am sad to see it go. That said, I do think it's the right time though. I loved this book when Cable was still around b/c the two played off each other so well. Even their supporting casts were great. Without Cable the book felt soulless like a random team up book. I still liked it mind you but it lacked the direction.

I do hope this opens the door for DP to get his own title though now that Cable has one. (and I sure hope that the Cable series doesn't flop b/c I'll be peeved b/c it was the expense of the one the best books on shelves today)

I don't think C & DP tried to be as universe altering and far reaching/defining as most other comic books that sell well these days but it always offered immeasurable fun.

On the upside, there is indeed a new Deadpool book in the works. On the downside, it's by Daniel Way, the guy who writes Wolverine Origins. :(
