I guess this confirms that Volkswagen only approved for Hasbro to use the Beetle for a single toy. Can't even re-use it for a slight repaint. And now I question whether Netflix Beetle Bee will even be re-released. They might very well be barred from doing that according to the terms of the agreement with Volkswagen.

Ya know, they could have left it the Cliffjumper mold (and head) painted yellow and just called it Bumblebee and at least then it’d be a yellow Cliffjumper homage. This ‘bb’ is just dumb.

 

I want to say that I don't want this because they used Cliffjumper's mold instead of Netflix Bee.
But goddammit, between the masked Primal, the box art Blackarachnia, and the pretty nice looking Fangry...I want it  

I am a little weary of the Fangry, though. I've heard a lot of the Titanmaster retools released lately have had a lot of QC issues.

Yep...buying it for $80 just for Fangry...not like years of Botcons haven't conditioned me for that...just got an airbrush so BB may end up a sacrificial lamb as I go for Tap Out.

I would have replaced Fangry with something better.

 

So, I don't mind the Bumblebee, BUT, anyone else feel like a black stripe or two would really make this figure more worthwhile? Like, make him more akin to any of his contemporaries (Animated, Prime, Cyberverse etc)?
