It\'s always a bit funny to me when anyone feels the need to explain continuity in the movies as if the movies had any. Like they barely cared about any type of consistency and these are obviously just cash grab repaints the designers wanted to do. I don\'t think anyone is getting caught up on when NEST was established lol. Either way I still love that the designers get to interact with the fandom more 

 

This is a design team that's loving what they do.

 

The Bonecrusher does look very gorgeous in this scheme. I will have to grab one.

It's still not really grabbing me but I'm somewhat getting more tempted looking at it.

 

Might get that Ratchet and put some green on him to make him my colours.
Could do the same with Bonecrusher but that\'s a high price for a novelty custom.

 

I've PO'd Bonecrusher. I love that they made the Jungle Bonecrusher toy bio canon. This also reclassifies the Buffalo Mine Sweeper Decepticon from ROTF into just 07' Bonecrusher out from hiding. I really enjoy this mold so I will be glad to add this nest deco to my ROTF shelf. As for ratchet, I really enjoy his deco but I'm torn on if I need him or not. I've already got an accurate Ratchet on each movie shelf and unlike Bonecrusher I have no way of reclassifying his purpose in my collection. Splendid deco though. I'd love to see them do a Recon Barricade under this subline as well.

 

I don't get why they are continuing with Ratchet in Deluxe scale. He should be a Voyager like Bayverse Ironhide. Deluxe is too small and looks ridiculous next to other deluxes in alt mode.

 

Cause's it's a repaint of a existing mold, not a new mold. Nothing really that can be done hear.

Honestly I interpreted it as the ROTF drone/clone in the film survived and turned into this NEST vehicle but I'm probably wrong.

 

Fact: The modified Hummer H2 Ratchet turns into is barely a foot longer than Bumblebee's Camaro mode.

Fact: The GMC Topkick Ironhide turns into is fucking huge.

Fact: SS Ratchet is regular Deluxe height while most SS cars are smaller in both modes.

 

Alt doesn't matter if the bot is correct.

 

Yeah pretty much for both Legacy and SS they focus on robot scale, not alt mode.

 

Man Ratchet's vehicle mode is soo good, Bonecrusher isn't my favorite in the world, but I like him

 

Sam absolutely sells that Bonecrusher. Ordinarily I wouldn't care but I'm a sucker when they paint the vehicle mode lights and the bit about being undercover with a hidden Decepticon symbol is gold.

 

It's nice to hear that he wants to do more movie repaints. If they can come up with a backstory for them then that's even cooler!

 

Please make NEST Ironhide (SS14 mold). That will make a lot of Bayverse fans happy.

How do the behind-the-scenes comments of a modern-day Hasbro designer 15 years after the fact make something more "canon" than a contemporary official toy bio that was printed on a released toy's packaging?

 

Because they used it as a basis to justify the creation of this toy.

 

The designers literally said it was the same guy that Optimus fought in 07'
