That's irrelevant if Walmart only had claim to that specific iteration of the mold, which is the assertion made by the individual I quoted. If Walmart only had claim to the Bumblebee version of the mold, why not use the VW version with a new head for SG Goldbug?

 

we don’t know exactly what their contract with Target says any more than we know exactly what their contract with Walmart said. We’ve always just been deducing.

 

That and the VW Goldbug are the best things about this set. Too bad it'll be another $80-ish set that I only want half of.

 

Just a heads up, the reason he’s the VW Mold is that Volkswagen says that mold can only be used for Bumblebee, specifically citing “no villains”.

 

So SG Soundwave is likely using the Netflix mold.

I'm confused why Target didn't put it up for preorder today. I mean seriously.

 

Skywasp's a great name on it's own. "Parasite" is just kinda generic, never cared much for it.

Remold Mindwipe for Squeezeplay. Change the bat wings/robot mode legs into Squeezeplay's crab monster arms/robot mode legs, a new beast head, and maybe remold the shield weapon to be more Squeezeplay's tail, but could also pass as-is. That gets the beast mode, and the robot mode, and even the same general transformation scheme.

 

Because they wanted to put up crap that most folks won't want I guess.

The VW mold!!!! Whaaaat. Okay, I’ve stated confidently before that we’d never see that again. While I admit I’m puzzled, I’m very glad to be wrong.

Now re-release the thing in proper Bumblebee yellow, and make a Glyph while you’re at it!  

Anyhow, this set looks great. Super duper looking forward to both Ransack and Goldbug now, in particular.

 

I saw MAYBE 3 of last year's 4pack in store. It barely appeared and NEVER restocked.

As far as I know it was never in stock at my local Target, I only got lucky and saw online one available for pick up a half hour away from me which is how I scored mine.
