Anyone interested in Skywasp for $17?

 

He (and BZ CC Scorponok) would be great to have, but personally I've got to wait a bit. All these figures releasing at once and still needing money available for Velocitron stuff (if I can even find them) means I can't get him right now.

 

So just got this in the mail today. A lot easier than the first Collide set! Scorponok and Skywasp are all right. Goldbug is good and I guess the 'real' start of the Throttlebots. But the big one for me?



Counting the Legends-class toys released this brings me to 5/7 of my goal of owning all seven Insecticons in updated forms. Not counting them it's 2/7, but it's still progress either way!   And once I get all those I'll have at least one version of every mass-market toy from waves one and two of G1.

 

My Goldbug has a really loose left shoulder (seems to be the hinge is the problem as it has way more give than the right) and had gold paint streaks on the windshield that hid long scratches underneath when removed. Scorponok's default head has some bad paint apps. The other two seem fine. I was thinking of doing an online return. Doing an in-store return isn't really an option as they don't have any and the nearest is 70-80 miles one way. Has anyone sent one back online and do they need the other first? I really don't feel like playing the QC Lottery as I could end up with worse (Scorponok is probably just going to storage and Goldbug is somewhat manageable is just really annoying).

 

Picked up this set and one of my worst fears was realized: I actually like Skywasp and toy Scorponok. 
Gonna make it tougher to sell these 2 now.

 

Don't worry, ebay is flooded with them. Just consider both of them freebies after paying $40 each for the g1 guys.

Which is why I'm hoping for an individual Takara release of Goldbug. If it happens, I'll be laughing off all those eBay peddlers all the way to the bank.  

 

Now would be a great time for TakTom to start up their Generations Selects line again, and remold Goldbug some accurate shoulders and biceps.  

 

1 you're forgetting about Ransack, who is almost as desirable as Goldbug, especially to the "updated g1 toys" crowd

2 a tt single release Goldbug will most likely cost a hefty amount, making this 4 pack seem a good deal, even if you don't want 2 of 4 toys in it

 

So, to those of you looking to unload the beasties, I'm in the market for a replacement Skywasp.
