Buying Shout! TF G1 for the Commercials? Prepair for disapointment.

    I picked up Season One this morning. Everything was pretty decent except one thing... the Commercials. There were only 3 of them.

    1. Optimus Prime vs. Megatron toys... from '84
    2. Insecticons.... from '85
    3. Optimus Prime G2..... from what '92 ??

    It's no wonder Shout! hasn't gone into detail about the commercials... because this kind of sucks. The Commercials were half the reason I was rebuying the series. To say I'm disapointed is puting it mildly... more like heart broken.

    well seeing as i don't have any of G1 on dvd ( or in any form) the lack of many comericals isn't a problem for me

    They are going to release more with each dvd set I am sure. Besides I am glad to be getting any of them as a nice bonus to this awesome set.

    Don't the shows themselves count as 30 minute commercials?

    I kid, I kid. That's too bad. I almost bought it today, but I went with ROTF Soundwave instead.

    If I want commercials, I'll watch the Transformers Movie '86. Those two discs have loads.

    I don't see the problem. You don't buy DVD sets for the commercials, that's just ... weird. I for one am glad this came out. The Rhino set were way too expensive and now I can finally buy the old TV series at a reasonable price. I called in sick at work to watch the entire set today.

    That's dedication to the transformers right there :)
