Diego loves to play with his Mr. Bear... (he's actually a little stuffed Charmin Bear I got in a huge pkg of TP)... anyway, Mr. Bear goes flying up in the air then caught and flipped again until Diego's tired. The whole time he's 'talking' to Mr. Bear.. sounds like "Take that... and that.. " :lol
Sometimes Diego and Mr. Bear go up and down the hallway slinging and flying around..poor Mr. Bear.

Go to a local rescue and get a cat that really needs a home.

If its a black kitten name it Ravage, if its a white one, name him Prowl, and if he's fat, lazy, and refuses to run and play name him Pounce- ironically.

This story starts sad but gets better. Back in November 2013, I had to put my baby to sleep because her kidneys failed. I was a wreck, wasn’t sleeping, eating or drinking much. After two weeks my wife was going to take me to the hospital, but we decided the apartment was too quiet, so we went to the humane society and adopted a brother and sister kittens. Her name is Tori and his name is Sammy, but when he meows it sounds like a sqweek, so we call him Sqweeks. Last month we brought my wife’s dad’s cat home because he can’t take care of her anymore. Her name is Biscuit but we call her Cutie Pie, unfortunately whoever had Biscuit before my wife’s dad had her declawed. Which cheeses me off immensely, so we now have three cats that are in charge of the place, we just pay for everything.

Whatever you do, just take good care of your cat and love him/ her unconditionally because, before you know it, they're gone.

My cat Boolie died one year ago tonight and I never got a chance to comfort him in his final hours.

Hell of a bloke. He was a better being in this universe than I am, I can tell you that.....

@moreprimeland That sounds adorable and hilarious! Especially the marge simpson growl, and talking to the flying charmin bear.

If you name your cat Bonecrusher, he will end up being an absolutely useless hunter. "A mouse got inside and Bonecrusher just went and hid under the bed..."

Owning a cat is quite the experience, I'll tell you that. I got two myself, brothers named Mugsy and Tigger. Both of them are absolute potatoes.

Also, can confirm they don't care what name they're called. I could call them Shit-Gremlins and they still cuddle up next to me.

I wanna point out that it's possible to train a cat. It's just very different from training a dog, since the cat doesn't automatically care about pleasing its adoptive pack like a dog would. Mild punishment works for some cats, but makes others dislike you, or just makes them sneakier, so you need to get to know your cat. You have to spend a lot of time, be very consistent, and combine gentle discouragement with reward. Your cat probably won't respect your wishes as law, but you can probably get them to view rewards for good behavior as a sort of bargain. Remember to keep up your end of the deal. I was between jobs when I adopted Glitter as a tiny kitten, so I got to make sure she was very well trained. It has stuck with her for almost 13 years so far. I would not have time to be so thorough again.

But yes, the cat will attempt to train you back at the same time. Mine still does. Dogs worship their human companions, but cats view theirs more as peers. You might not know it, but you establish what your relationship will be, and knowing that your cat sees you as a roommate is the key defining it. Annoy or dominate your cat, and it will decide you're an asshole, and will act accordingly. Try instead to respect and befriend your cat. Mine greets me when I come home, comes when called by name, and hates to be apart because I've taken pains to be her constant friend.

As for names, cats do learn them, but I'm not sure they get attached. Mine responds to her actual name, but as far as she's concerned, "cat" and "kitty" are also her name, and she always looks (and often answers back) when any of these are said. In her brain, it's probably less like how we think of a name and more like "a sound this specific human makes when it wants my attention".
