I am not one of the "victims," but I must say . . . his customs are flat-out awesome-looking!

Yeah he makes good customs, I'll give him that, but his practices have discouraged me from buying Transformer customs from other customizers as well. Nowadays, I'll either make it myself or wait until Hasbro/Takara eventually get to it.

Yes, that technology is getting better and cheaper every day. The "high definition acrylate" material on Shapeways is almost factory smooth, once they can make it in a variety of colors the sky is the limit!

This is why when I do a custom for someone, I try to keep in continual contact with someone and give updates with photos (I have one right now for OptimusTimelord that is almost ready to ship and just needs the boarding ramp for the Ark done). I also focus on only one at a time so I don't get bogged down (life intrudes enough as it stands).

Applejacktimus has the right idea. The mods got quite pissed at someone else who asked why.

It's best to refrain from talking about him.

By saying "he's not "far behind"" I'm implying he's lying to you. Meaning he never did it. Meaning he's giving you the run around till you time is up to file. He had a bridge to sell you. Didn't think that had to be spelled out....

There have been a few customizers over the years that have hurt the view others may have about getting work done. Sad to see, but like with many things, all it takes are a few bad apples.
It looks like the trend continues.
I don't care how 'good' someone's work is, because integrity trumps talent every day. If someone can't produce what is promised, they don't deserve the work. Simple as that. Unfortunately, it's the customer that first suffers, then the rest of the customizing community has to deal with the negative stigma associated with the issue.

I've done business with Cheetimus a few times last year but most of the stuff I bought I picked up from in him person at Botcon. Though he does still owe me something I purchased last year and yeah I've been waiting...well about a year now XD (I'm patient to a fault I suppose) Been in contact with him to get it to me and once again he mentioned he'd get it to me by the end of the week so I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Swindle gave me this awesome-looking sonic screwdriver once. I can't figure out how to get batteries in it though. It kind of looks like a gluestick with a "trustworthy" handwritten label, dubbing it as a sonic screwdriver. I have yet to use it, but now I only have two dollars in my wallet.

I met Cheets at Botcon. Very first thing he says to me; he looks at me and goes "Oh you. What's your problem with me man?"

Thiiiiiiis is kinda it. He kept a really good friend of mine waiting on a custom he paid for for something like two whole years. May have been closer to 18 months. Still, he kept stringing him along with excuse after excuse.

That's what I hate about seeing this kind of thing happen. I don't understand it. This is the third pretty well known customizer I've seen pull this kind of thing and it sucks that it makes people cautious of working with any figure customizer.
I can easily swear that I'd never let anything remotely similar to this happen. Like I said, I take precautions to make sure I don't get too much work stacked up so I don't get burned out and even if I literally die I won't have too many people not getting what was promised. My wife also knows how to refund anyone who paid for commissions and send them back their figures if I suddenly croak.
My feedback shows I make it a priority to get work done fast, not overcharge, and stay trustworthy. I can't think of any good excuse for still taking people's money or posting new work with ebay ads attached when you have a pile of paid projects you should have completed months ago.
Maybe there is some excellent explanation, but I'm curious to see what it could be.

The silence speaks volumes. But even if he was to come here to this thread to tell his side of the story what would he say beyond his usual spiel: "I'm not a crook, not looking to rob people, had a rough patch recently, been very sick, just came out of the hospital, I forgot, I'm sorry, you'll get your money back eventually, I'll make this right, I shipped it, here's your tracking number (fake), must have gotten lost in the mail..." The man has his script down perfectly for getting over on his clients, maybe some customers will eventually get some recourse from him, but just like a classic pyramid scheme he'll soon have a fresh batch of marks to swindle with shiny new customs.
