Hello fellow Transformers fans, I just wanted to let you all know about the new Transformers sale at TRU starting today Sunday 6/14/09... TRU is having a new sale on Transformers figures. The regularly priced figures which are $11.99 will be buy one get one half price starting today. The funny part about this is that on their website right now both sales are active at once. The deluxes are still at $7.99 from last week's sale, so if you put 2 figures in your cart at once 1 will be $7.99 and the other comes up at $3.98. That's crazy. I know you still have to pay shipping, but I wonder if this will happen in the stores as well? Right now it's just past 5:40 AM Eastern time so they have awhile to correct this error. Hopefully some of you can take advantage of this.
Check this out... About 5 to 10 minutes after I left my first post TRU aparantly fixed their "glitch". The figures are now back at $11.99. So if you put 2 figures in your cart 1 will be $11.99 and the other will be $5.99. I'm sorry if I got anyone excited about this.
That's still an AWESOME deal! Especially when Wal*Mart and Target haven't even done any sales on ANY of the ROTF merchandise. I actually feel guilty for not picking up ravage, cannon bumblebee and barricade last night at the $7.99 prices but I didn't have enough $ on me when I purchased the Optimus Prime voice changer helmet and Mudflap but now I can still get the other figures AND save, I'm definitely impressed with Toys R Us for continuing a sale such as this especially thru these harsh economic times. Keeps us collectors happy and excited about collecting! Thanks for the info Viewfinder!
Wow, TRU is having some pretty good sales lately. First the price reductions and now this. Is it only if you buy 2 deluxes or will it still work if you buy a Voyager or Leader along with a Deluxe?
The TRU ad shows that this promotion is only valid on Deluxes, Fast Action Battlers, and Robot Replicas. So not on Voyagers or Leaders, unfortunately. The sale on Deluxes last week was better (2 for $16, instead of 2 for $18 with this current sale), but Fast Action Battlers and Robot Replicas were not included in that sale.
I know that. I meant if you buy a Leader or Voyager with a Deluxe will you still get the Deluxe half off, or is that only with 2 deluxes.
TRU has really picked up the pace for ROTF toys. I'm hoping Walmart and Target will follow suit. What surprises me is that they don't include the animated figures as part of the sale. It would make a great way to move them out.
I saw that today---when I found a lone Ravage at the front of one of the island displays. (only one up there, too) Unfortunately, of the deluxes out I either already have them or don't want the ones I haven't already picked up. The only sorta-exception is Sideways...I'm waiting for the Dead End repaint. So, couldn't take advantage of the deal. Still, got me a Ravage.
