Might switch heads with Hasbro version if i get this cause i slightly prefer faceplate, but would be glad to have both. Gun made from tanks is WIN. Paint is WIN. Combined with the best HasTak engineering on a mainline toy, I think this is the best single thing HasTak has put out at retail. DO WANT!

What are you talking about? It was up a lot. He even talked with it on. He had it on more in ROTF than in the original movie. At least you saw it more. The only difference is that they didn't have open and close animations for it this time. It was either on or off.

this thing makes the original release look like a freaking KO, i really should have waited (but i got him on-sale, so whatever) i KNEW either Hasbro or Takara would do this.

just wish he either had the faceplate, 2 heads or they'd figured out a face swap like they did with Galaxy Force Convoy

Nice, they even painted the faux hood flames and the swords.

Oh frak, now I have to buy yet another Movie Prime... ;-)

That just looks too cool not to have, even though I already have a Hasbro Leader Prime.

I just can't believe they're going to release that. The phrase 'too good to be true' comes to mind.

Takara do tend to charge a little more for their versions of toys released in the US... but the European pricing is so lopsided, it probably wouldn't cost you any more to import this than to buy one at retail.

He went from a must have to a maybe now. The face I'm not crazy about, especially the eyes. The gun although nice to have has now become less important to me since the Gears of War 2 set. Only thing is the overall paint app is much better than the original imo. Hmm...decisions decisions

Leader Prime is only one of maybe two or three ROTF figures I want to get, but after the whole fiasco of TF1 figures getting re-released with better and far more accurate paint jobs as far as a year after they were originally released, I learned my lesson and did not buy this guy as soon as he showed up in stores. Whether they call it "Premium" or not or whether it's Takara who does it, I knew that better repaints were inevitable... as anyone who paid even slight attention to TF1 toys also should have been well aware of. Can't say I feel bad for anyone who bought the poorly colored first edition of this.

Still, I think I'll continue to wait for a version of this that sports a faceplate head again since I doubt this will be the ONLY pimped up version we get.

The paint job looks great, and would only look better with the face mask. If Hasbro puts this out, or a version with the mask, I'll be pissed.

and the parts where jumped though top of the building to fight megatron & starscream before the forest battle mask then, & at the end film where fights the fallen mask on as well just to help out.

nice figure but if hasbro does come out with premium figures ill be surprised if they dont ill get this prime but yes this prime does need face plate attachment to make him perfect. or differnt head to sawp on & off

HAHA to the fools who bought the hasbro version!!! :)

that includes me! i'm glad i did, though! i will buy this repaint too! the mold is beautiful! after being blown away by the hasbro version, i knew i will buy this mold again. thank you takara for a very convincing version. this shiny one will not be transformed, he will just be stared at for the purpose of having multiple nerdgasm from sheer awesome! the hasbro version will be continuously played with now without concern or remorse. i love transforming this mold!
