Bumper hub scout question

    hey guys,
    question..

    i know that renderforms Bumper set is supposed to adapt bumblebee into bumper, but what is "hub scout" supposed to represent.

    I like bumper as a character, and i bought both, and have my full bumble lineup on my shelf (bumblebee addon kit, cliff-jumper addon kit, bumper, gold bug and hubscout) but who is "hub scout" supposed to be? was he ever in the comics?
