https://www.comicbookmovie.com/tran...d-it-may-feature-a-surprising-co-star-a165951 "We had many objectives (including) to bring a new set of families into the series, and that succeeded; in the after markets that will continue to succeed in a big way," explains longtime franchise producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura. "Part of our obligation was to bring people back who had left the franchise or never experienced it which worked well… We are finding our way. Our intention was we wanted to please the core fans but also bring a new audience.
Oh. Well yeah. I thought they were going to be referring to his new human co-star. Optimus is kind of a given though.
If they didn't make a Bumblebee movie with Optimus in it, that would be utterly insane. It's basically putting butts in the seats if done correctly. Excluding him, outside of a cameo or two, would be insane. It's like no one at the helm of this knows where they're going and have no internal GPS to do so. The worst kind of Uber driver, basically.
Assuming the sequel picks right up from where they left off. I’d want to see what they do with the 7 other autobots that landed on earth. I would figure that maybe Optimus and Bee would go do their mission and maybe they just leave the others at base and just talk to them from time to time when they need to check in or something.
It's just a regurgitation of the Deadline article. I think the Optimus mention in the original article was just speculation on their part so nothing to really dissect.
Optimus is definitely gonna be having a major role in the next movie. He’s an icon. Honestly should get his own movie in the future it could totally work.
I honestly think that they should've focused on an Optimus Prime movie instead but okay, I'm on board for a Bumblebee sequel as long as they don't rush things.
I hope Barricade appears. This would be Transformers 7 so keeping in traditon Barricade only shows up in the odd numbered movies.
