They almost did back in Armada. If you take off Hotshot's visor, he's a dead ringer for Bumblebee.

Then how about the "Sparkplug" minicon? It depends on which version of Bumblebee you want it to look like. Hotshot's head is styled more like the Bumblebee toy, but with a more human face similar to the show. Sparkplug is more like the show in general.

I always thought it would be funny if they had made a Bumblebee toy in Beast Wars. He could actually turn into a bumblebee ;)

Yeah! wassssspinattorr vsssss Bummbleeebeeeeee buzz buzzz buzz

Loads of people have alterd Energon Hotshot to be a Bumblebee, but the only recent lookalike is Sparkplug. It would be great to see Bumblebee again, maybe Hasbro will do a mold for him in Cybertron like they did for Wheelja.. er i mean Downshift.

I just wish Volkswagon would let Tak/Has make a BT(A*)/ALT Bumblebee.

Yeah, for a character who hasn't had a new toy since G1, he's very popular.

    Some would say suspiciously so.

I've got that one. it's very neat, though it does involve a slight disassembling (the fists) to transform it. looks like I got a deal, too, cuz I only paid $80 shipped for it and that suckers got 6 more days to go.

ohhh, I see that one comes with slaughterhouse too...I don't have that one. no wonder it's so much. didn't realize so few of them were made.

Apparently it's not going to happen...Volkswagon doesn't want their brand associated with a 'war-toy,' thanks to some awkward company history. Credit to Nevermore's binaltenators.de site, which answered me when I had the same question.

Well, thats not entirely true... there is the G2 version, but I can understand why people would prefer to think that him and the rest of the Go-bots never happened.

Always wondered why we never got the original Bumblebee's Cybertron style from G1.
    Same for the seekers.
It's strange they never released anything with the Bummblee name since G2

I remember a while back, talking about what kind of other car bumblebee should be, cause as it is said he is to popular a character to not have a new mold for. I would like to see a lotus elise bumblebee, as the car is still small, fairly fuel efficient, but it is a little meaner, and is a nifty upgrade. And besides its bumblebee, hes so cuuute.
