Does anyone have ANY idea why Hasbro is releasing Bumblebee in Ani Deluxe wave four (or five, I don't keep these things straight)?

Is there anything new? Or is it just a re-release?

Really? I thought that wasn't even done yet. The stock photos look the same.

There was a brief write up from information given by Hasbro designer Eric Siebenaler where he mentioned the new Bumblebee. From the news item on TFW2005:

"A new, smaller Animated Bumblebee mold is in the works. It is intended to be more in scale to other figures, and will come with a larger accessory."

That's not going to be in the next wave, but something down the line.

The BB in wv5, or technically "wv1 '09",
is just a re-release of the original BB.
    Same toy.
    No repairs to stingers.
    No alteration to color scheme.
The smaller version won't be out till later in 2009.

    Wrong!

    It is technically:
    "Deluxe Wave 1 2009"

    But to answer the question.
Yeah it's just a rerelease. A wave filler if you will.
Most waves don't include only new figures. It's just those are the ones most people talk about.
