Obviously in your opinion. Just pick which one you liked better, feel free to even comment why.
Bumblebee a million times over.
I have nostalgia for TF1, but I rewatched it before Bumblebee came out and it was... way worse than I remember.
The 2007 movie is my favourite of the bayverse five and is a great movie in my opinion . I just prefer the character designs in Bumblebee , Charlie is fantastic and Bumblebee has those two Cybertron scenes .
I still get goosebumps though when Optimus arrives in the 2007 film and love some of the lines especially by Ironhide .
My vote goes to Bumblebee.
I preferred Bumblebee.
2007 Transformers I like rewatching more.
While Bumblebee was nice, I much prefer the 07 movie.
It's one of the few movies that made me go
while the 2007 movie was good, I'm sorry but I prefer bumblebee honestly.
That's how I feel. I used to enjoy TF1, but after watching Bumblebee and rewatching TF1, the awkward humor stands out more. And now I just hate the final battle scene because of how much it teases you with the Prime Vs Megatron battle while cutting to the military. Prime's epic "one shall stand, one shall fall" line is said while the camera is panning over Sam like come on. You get a few cool moments here and there like Starscream and the Air Force, however, the overall composition of the battles in Bumblebee are better.
I actually watched Bumblebee again last night and I can confirm that it is DEFINITELY not better than Transformers 1 for me. The level of action, seriousness and realism is just not the same. I think there really shouldn't be comparison.
Agreed. The action was more comprehendible, the absence of childish pee jokes elevated the seriousness, and the lack of a mystical cube magically spawning life gave the film more realism. Wait, we're both talking about Bumblebee, right?
This is one time I happily put my money on the Lil' Yellow B^$+^rd all by his lonesome.
Tf1 was an important part of my childhood. I thought it was the coolest thing when I was younger but the sequels kind of slowly killed it for me after dark of the moon. Bumblebee brought back a magic that was lost and fills me with hope for what's to come
Of the two I definitely prefer re-watching the 2007 movie, there's just a lot more you can quote from that movie. I do enjoy some of the human scenes like the car salesman, the military guys little moments, some of simmons lines and the FBI scenes. The Decepticons also had cooler alt modes and fight scenes compared to the ones we got in the bumblebee movie save for Blitzscream who I like.
Story and characterwise, Bumblebee.
Action and magic-wise, 2007.
Bumblebee was undoubtedly the more solid film. Even though some would say TF1 had better action, I thought it was pretty dull compared to its sequels (not counting TLK).
Bumblebee without a doubt. The 2007 film did what it needed to do but that was over a decade ago and it hasn't aged too well. Plus, the overwhelming presence of the human military necessary to defeat the Decepticons is kind of obnoxious on repeat viewings. Comapred to Bumblebee, where the human military is more or less useless as it should be when fighting the alien robots and the robots fight back. More critically, Bumblebee vs Dropkick and Shatter focused way more on the use of transformation as part of the battle which made it a hell of a lot more special than just alien robots firing big guns at each other which, unfortunately, the majority of the fights in the bayfilms boil down to being.
Granted, the 2007 film has the legendary 'arrival' scene which will never be topped...but that's the only thing it has going for it. Bumblebee just trumps it across the board otherwise.
I much prefer TF 2007 (or any Bay TF movie) over Bumblebee. Bumblebee's ratio of teen angst was too much for me, and the others featured more TFs with more action.
Yeah, about that...
As much as I believe Bumblebee is a better movie overall, I personally enjoy seeing these films for the action the most, and there's just a lot more going on in TF1 than Bee in that regard.
