Starscream doesn\'t look ugly this time, that\'s a plus.

 

Oh that’s much better. Screamer looks right even if he’s the wrong plane I can forgive that no sweat. Bee looks fantastic for the first time ever in this series. Now I just wanna see a few more characters and I’m probably sold.

 

Aside from the G1 Seeker head with the classic side vents (and dark gray almost black coloration), "Starscream" does seem to retain some of the movieverse design cues like the optics and mouth area along with the guns on his forearm. I hesitate to say that any of his weapons are null rays though; just machine guns and missiles thus far.

The jet intakes forming his shoulders, the blockier arms and hands (with chunkier fingers and not claws this time), the cockpit/nosecone forming his torso, the head flipping out from the gap as it swivels underneath, the wings inverted for that classic Seeker silhouette does give me hope this will be the blend of G1 and realism that we've always wanted.

Really hope the legs aren't digitigrade though what look like twin booster rockets on his back instead of the bottom of his feet makes me wonder if he'll have only one (the back thrusters) and not both? Looking forward to a reveal of his full robot design so we can truly get a feel for it but this teaser in the trailer makes me optimistic.

 

What do you think of the toyline now?

 

Ramjet has missiles coming out of his forearm. Awesome.

Bumblebee looks kinda dumb, at least he has vehicle parts but he still just looks like a humanoid robot
Starscream looks AMAZING, he is everything doritoscream should have been and that transformation is beautiful
The human characters seem alright, hopefully the main girl will have personality unlike Sam and Cade, which based on this seems to be the case
Fingers crossed the other cons look as good as starscream

The F-4 is one of the biggest fighter jets ever made—-it will dwarf most other fighters, much less ground vehicles. It is only slightly smaller than an F-22.

 

It\'s a red and white jet, with a G1 shaped Starscream head, has to be him! Who else could it be?

 

As a big Phantom Phan and Naval aviation fan, I’ve gotta point out that the F-4 is first and foremost a Navy jet, that was also later used by the Air Force.  

Also, the markings we see in the trailer look a whole lot more like a Naval Phantom than a USAF one. So——Naval Starscream? I’ll have to check my books later for better matches, but I’m getting a VF-14 vibe:

(Insert sarcasm) I'm 99.9% sure that jet is skywarp. There's no way in hell it would be Starscream
We already had Starscream killed off and we got Thundercracker technically so this has to be skywarp

 

It does, but it isn't enough of a departure. If they're going to reboot the universe, they really need to overhaul the look of the TFs, as well.

The fact that we can't even tell if this is supposed to be Starscream or not just makes my point for me. Veteran TF fans should be able to tell who's who at a glance.

I give with ppl like u... seriously you can't tell that it's Starscream? And for others who say that Bumblebee looks to humanoid... U ppl... make me wonder why I even get on this site. It's like the news, sick of watching it or reading it

 

What makes everyone think it is a Decepticon. It could very well be an Autobot : Firefly. The F-4 Phantom is his classic mode, the color scheme is spot on, the body style fits with a few modern revisions for aesthetics, and the head sculpt lends more to an autobot than an decepticon if you think about it. He maybe swooping in to save BB's butt. Just an observation. The maroon muscle car with the bars around the windshield is more likely to be Barricade if he is in the movie; if not Wildrider would make a decent guess.
