I don't think the people running Paramount's social media will have any idea of when the trailer is going to drop until really close to release.

It could still be weeks / months away.

 

Guys be pateint, we will get a trailer when they are ready to market the film again look at the other films we didnt got a trailer till 6-4 months before release, we are still 7 months away, we are close to the timeframe when we get TF trailers.

Soon (On films, games, etc) can mean days, weeks, moths. To be honest It just means a few weeks.

 

I'd guess that they know about as much as we do at this point. These are just the people running the social media account, I doubt that any inside knowledge they have would be particularly extensive.

 

Just as an FYI some pop up servey points in malls are now doing demo kiosks featuring the trailer for this. It’s only available for the adult female demographic but my wife was disappointed to be shown the trailer for Battle Angel Alita instead. So if you are female or your wife is interested just make sure you say you aren’t currently interested in it and they’ll show you the trailer.

Wait...so they're actually showing a Bumblebee trailer at these demo kiosks? Interesting!

I'm not sure I like the idea of them only showing it to a specific demographic (seems pretty insensitive to do that in this day and age, this stuff should be for everyone), but it means the trailer release probably isn't that far off if they've already distributed it to these demos. It means they already have it edited and all (Assuming it's a full trailer they're showing.)

It’s also to try and appeal to demographics that might not ordinarily be interested. Hence the last time we did it I got a trailer for Greatest Showman and my wife got a trailer for Rampage.

This time they didn’t have anything for male participants. It was Bumblebee, Detective Pikachu and Battle Angel.

 

Oh definitely, but products should also be available to everyone who's interested. Barbie dolls are generally marketed to little girls, but an elderly man is free to buy them if he desires.

Saying "this person is allowed to watch this trailer, but this other person isn't because of their gender and/or age group" seems wrong and needlessly exclusive. (I'm all for only a certain demographic being allowed to participate in the survey if it helps the research, but anyone should be allowed to simply view it.) It would be a different matter all the trailers shown were already available publicly.

I'm also curious about this. Either way, it sounds like there's some type of trailer ready. Hopefully it's the final edit and not just some kind of early trailer with unfinished CG. If it is the final edit, it will most likely be released soon.

Edit: This must be something that's being done at a specific location. I've been searching Twitter and Facebook with all sorts of keywords, and I'm not seeing anything about it. Surely someone out there would be posting about seeing a Bumblebee trailer by now if it was being done all over the world or country.

 

I have to agree with every single point of your statement. I think it's still pretty early. Let's be patient and more importantly neutral because if the movie is bad...I don't want to think what might happen.
