    Lower budget huh?

Maybe this will encourage them to actually try.

Tiny budget, single character focused, fast cash grab, calling it now, it will be some dumb crap like "Bumblebee Saves Prom" or "Mike(human character) and Bumblebee win the Skateboard Competition". Also he'll stay in vehicle mode 95% of the time and it will be a major flop and scare the studio into reconsidering what they do with TF7.

Great Rifftrax material AND the long overdue reset of the movie franchise?

I see absolutely nothing wrong with this.

No one said anything about being low budget, just lower than other Transformers movies, we're still probably talking at least 100 million.

I'm really torn, because a lower budget in a special effects-driven film means a worse movie. But at the same time, in this case, it could also mean less Bumblebee screen time.

I don't know how to feel.

This. There's no indication it will be low budget; it will just have a lower budget than the main Transformers films, just like Ant-Man has a lower budget than Avengers. It will certainly have fewer characters and be on a smaller scale, and it will likely have a much shorter run time. This announcement should surprise absolutely nobody.

Also, comparing CGI Transformers to CGI characters in most other films is comparing apples to oranges. The live action Transformers have lots of moving parts that most other CGI characters do not.

Although this has a nasty whiff of possiblity.

This is also probably the reality.

I just hope they don't blow the latter 100M on the former piece of shit :lol

They can cut costs if they try. We only need Bee and a con or two, no spaceships or pointless combiners etc. No expensive actors, just a couple of bright upstarts or some well known TV actor.

    Touche!

Heck, if Bumblebee still doesn't talk they could make a Transformers version of Sergei Parajanov's "The Color of Pomegranates," since other than some background vocals and narration that film has no character dialogue. It's considered a Soviet masterpiece by some, and it features some strange and random stuff in it. If you want a film that would make any Transformers fan or most all of the general audience go "WTF" they could go that route. :lol

Seriously talking, I hope it's something along the lines of Bumblebee infiltrating an Insecticon hive that threatens a city or trying to bust up Swindle's heavy arms dealing.

I honestly would be totally down for a Barricade vs Bumblebee movie. Don't care if it is set pre-tf1 or maybe even in between TF1 and DOTM. Just have Bee and Barricade face off again. That's all I want. It would also set in stone that barricade is his arch nemesis.

A bit worried about how a lower budget will look since I think the last time Paramount took something to a lower budget is when they went from a budget of $175 million to make GI Joe Rise of Cobra down to $130 million to make GI Joe Retaliation. Kind of hard to compare those two movies and not see how much a lower budget can hurt.

He'll be Knight Rider then, except instead of witty back talk, he will sound like R2-D2...

Character development, which just about every Bayformer lacks in each movie. We might actually see some in this.

He doesn't even need development, he's need to be properly defined. I don't know what bumblebee is. He's like a mentally handicapped Terminator. Literally cross a T800 with the big guy from goonies!

Why can he fight so well, but can't walk in a straight line without knocking something over. How did such a immature social grenade get left in charge of 3 more competent and seasoned Autobot soldiers. Why can't he replicate a voice box when he can change into 5 models of the same car on the fly.

Sometimes Bumblebee is really good, I like that he's got everyone's back, and that's he's a bit sensitive, but I hope his movie clears up once and for all: What is Bumblebee.

Running times don't bother me. If the movie has enough story and is well paced, the I never even realize that it was a long movie.

I agree. I've been wishing for a while bay would stop bothering with "plot", humans and "character development" (since he SUCKS at all of these) and just give us a Fury Road style 1.5 hour action extravaganza.

Now a new director actually might handle plot and character well- and that would be wonderful- but an hour and a half with fewer bots could very well cost quite a bit less withour significantly diminishing robot screen time.

So has it been confirmed that the Bumblebee Movie will take place after TF5? Because a thought just struck me, could it be possible that the movie could fill in the gaps for Bumblebee between Dark of the Moon and Age of Extinction.

Cause I mean, I may not like the character all that much but I eould at least like an explanation for what happened to Sam and if he's even still alive since considering Cementary Wing almost killed Cade's daughter when he refused to reveal where Optimus was, who's to say they didn't do the same to Sam for trying to protect Bumblebee?

I don't think i'll be going to theaters to see these movies until/unless we get a reboot with new director &robot designs.... I saw the first 4 movies in theaters, and here's what i remember from seeing AOE: got there 15 minutes before movie was SUPPOSED to start, then 30 minutes of commercials, cost $20 for 2 peoples tickets. For $20 i can get the blue-ray/dvd combo pack 3 months later (which i would anyways) and watch it whenever i want from the comfort of my own home.
