    Absolutely fantastic.

I think the first one on the far left of the bottom row is another Bumblebee, maybe his Cybertronian mode?

That seems right. Furthermore, I think the red and white duo on the bottom row are Ratchet and Ironhide, seeing as they have a similar build.

I think this is an efficient way to get the whole cast without the need to wait and wish for 3A to do every character.

Even if articulation is limited, as long as the sculpt is good, I am fine with it.

You could tell that the 10cm Bumblebee is more simplified than the 15cm one.

    So far we have:

    15cm line
    (Prototype done)
    Bumblebee
    (Planned)
    Optimus Prime
    Blitzwing
    Soundwave

    10cm line
    (Prototype done)
    Bumblebee
    Blitzwing
    Shatter (car kibble)
    (Planned)
    Optimus Prime
    Another Bumblebee?
    Wheeljack
    Ratchet
    Ironhide
    Dropkick (car kibble)
    Soundwave
    Starscream
    Shockwave

I wonder if either one would fit in a Studio Series display.

Y'know, replace the horribly inaccurate deluxe for display purposes.

Given this scale chart, I am going to go for relative scaling and will get all the 15cm ones available accompanied by the remaining cast from the 10cm line. downloadfile-1.png

Oh yeah, the 10cm will definitely fit better. I forgot what a centimeter was. :p

15cm is like Voyager-sized. So 10cm Bumblebee, Shatter and Dropkick will fit with SS as "Deluxes" whereas the 15 cm Blitzwing, Soundwave, etc will cover "Voyagers."

Though if these kits turn out really good/affordable, I'll just buy them all. :D

I really wish hasbro would offer multi color model kits that transform. A red bumblebee, a blue one , white etc. I would buy every color of every figure available.

Those would be a ridiculous amount of money; you'd basically be buying an unassembled action figure

I can assure you that you don't actually want this. Even transforming Gundams have a tendency to be nightmarish hand grenades and that's coming from Bandai.

Exactly what I want yes! And no I don’t think they’d be ridiculous money wise. If hasbro decided you know what let’s unretire titans return hardhead and mindwipe as examples, it should technically cost less than mentioned toys as they aren’t paying for assembly and painting.

Why would that cost more, then?

Model kits are generally cheaper because there's no assembly involved.

    That said:

Exactly. Model kits are usually made out of weaker plastic that's easier to remove from runners and work with, but can't deal with the same stresses a true-blue Transformer would. They'd be delicate, finicky things at best, hand grenades at worst.

You make it from the same plastic. The only differences from a hardhead you bought two years ago are it was assembled painted and green.

No, you don't. Anybody who's bought model kits can tell you they're not the same plastic. Models are almost always made of polystyrene these days, toys are typically made of ABS. ABS is more durable and holds its shape, but isn't as easy to cut or manipulate. Polystyrene is lightweight and easy to work with, but far less robust.

Gundam Models, for example, used to use ABS for the inner frames of the kits and polystyrene for the outer armour. Nowadays they're made almost entirely of polystyrene.

I’m saying use the same materials you used for the original toys. Abs all the way.
