    Congrats to him. Not much to really go on to say anything at all about it yet. But hope it's an entertaining part, and doesn't detract from Hailee's character's growth with Bumblebee.

    Starting to sound a little bit like Bee ends up as a junker in an auto repair class. Could prove interesting, or he becomes Hailee's character's car that leads to a scene like that where only one other student mechanic notices something's not quite right with her car. Or he's there after hours working on his own car when she brings Bee in for repairs or something.

    Not familiar with anything the guy has done, but the TF films haven't exactly been champions of diversity for its leads, so I'm at least on board in that regard.

    Would've rather focused on the friendship between Hailee and Bumblebee. Now I see about an 80% chance this is going to be Transformers 2007 romance again with the roles reversed.

    Methinks you glossed over her Wikipedia page a bit too quickly. Her maternal grandmother was half African-American and half Filipino, not Steinfeld herself. She certainly has a diverse ancestry, but it would be a stretch to call her casting an example of racial diversity.

    A little silly to see the headline "MALE LEAD FOR THE BUMBLEBEE MOVIE" and it isn't Bumblebee. Whatever though, hopefully it isn't a forced romantic subplot between the two. A guy and a girl can be friends Hollywood.

    Plus, it would be depressing to know that, IF these two turn out to be the best human leads so far, they die being shot by cons.
