Really love the concept art and character designs for this movie.  Could lean a little less on the G1 aesthetic, but a HUGE improvment over the previous live action designs.
And look at that thigh gap on Arcee, dayum.

...i find steven zavala's comments about shockwave particularly interesting, because of everyone rendered in those cybertron sequences, his reinterpretation conspicuously felt like the laziest effort to me: turns out there's a good reason for that...

To me, Ravage's head looks more dog than cat!

The only thing I don't like is Arcee's feet. They kinda look like hooves.

Man, I love these designs, especially my boy Wheeljack! It's unfortunate they didn't keep the shoulder cannon from the previous design. Both look great though. I wonder if they removed it because it would've probably taken up half the screen in the shot he's in. Granted, they could've just put it on the opposite shoulder so it wouldn't block his face even though that wouldn't be quite as accurate, it would at least be there.
I actually quite like that about them, they also almost look digigrade giving her a bit of a capricorn look.

Im not a fan of these forced G1 designs at all. Its like trying to put beer in your cereal instead of milk.

Great designs. I hope they do toys of all these in the Studio Series line.

I like how Wheeljack's proportion evoke his G1 toy. Gives him a more distinct feeling then his other G1 designs I also dig how Ravage's head evokes a jaguar but not to the point of looking too much like one. Something that I also liked about his ROTF look.

My favorite designs out of this bunch are for Ratchet and Shockwave. I just love how large and imposing Shockwave looks here. I can see why they had to make the thighs larger—his chest alone looks like it weighs a ton. I still think Optimus, Bee, and Blitzwing look the best, however, if the artist were given more time (not the 2-3 days that was mentioned for Shockwave as an example), I'm sure these Cybertronian designs would have looked even better. That's why I'm expecting these designs to really shine in sequel once they receive a lot more time and attention.

If this was the way they had done it from the beginning you would never have known the difference. It's only because we have the over engineered messy designs of the bayverse to compare it to that it looks weird to some. Remember, the blocky simple designs have been the norm for every other form of transformers media, the bayverse designs are frankly the ones that don't mesh with everything else.

So Ravage DID have his G1 colours at somepoint.
But then they painted him like Laserbeak.

Wheeljack's gorilla proportions really don't look right. His legs need to be longer.
Arcee looks like a cross between T-30 and Prime. I like it.
Shockwave needs bigger shoulders, but I really do like his design.

    Because HasTak won't?
Yeah, I do see some of these getting made in the SS line at some point.
