You spelled "you're" wrong.. so...
Is this a thing? We can add capitalization and punctuation and make sense of nonsense? I want to try...
I think he makes a lot of good points. What movie, indeed? I also like Easter, and after five Bay films, I was delighted that the bush in the movie was literally just a bush.
It's kind of a bad time for this film TBH. Folks got rather hyped for Aquaman, Ralph and The Grinch are still doing the rounds, and Spiderman was an unexpected surprise. Main kicker is Aquaman of course... But it's still crowded.
Folks are also still likely sour from The Last Knight. I know I was still skeptical, considering this is and is not a reboot, per say.
Yeah, I think Paramount didn't expect it to be this crowded but found it too late to change by the time that became clear.
Honestly , i don\'t really care what Rotton Tomatos rates anything .
That said it is nice to see a Transformers film recieving more positivitiy .
For the most part , i enjoyed Bayverse but Bumblebee is amazing and i loved everything about it .
I couldnt be bothered to go and see Aquaman .
Whatever critics say about the first 5 live action Transformers movies , at least they weren\'t as depressing as almost everything DC has churned out in its half assed universe .
who is roten tomatos? nostalgic old 80 guys buyed by a soundtrack with no knowledge in mechatronics.
Guess they must have paid off a bunch of critics again~
Seriously though, I wouldn't take a lot of these "critics" too seriously. They're usually so far off the mark that it's ridiculous.
The movie was decent but man is it overhyped and overrated. Even the news staff on TFW have been saying it's way better than it is. This reminds me of Wonder Woman (though it's better than that film, I'd say) - not that bad but way overrated.
I realise it's ultimately subjected, but seriously, this movie really is way overrated, and I think there are going to be a lot of people who go into the movie expecting it to be way better than it actually is because of these reviews and reactions.
I don't think so. The Metascore is 66 which seems fair. Critics don't really like it, it's more that a lot of them don't dislike it. Personally I think WW is better than Bumblebee, though.
Is RT really that important?
That's me, lol. Gotta be honest, the movie doesn't really feel like a transformers movie, because the focus of charlie arc overshadow the conflict between autobot and Decepticon. But what makes me doesn't really enjoy it is because it didn't meet my expectations. I've posted about it in spoiler discussion thread the things I'm disappointed about so I'm not gonna write it here.
Saw it. Enjoyed it alot. Hope we get more like it.
After a decade, the studio understood there is a good thing to have Transformers designs closer to the G1 esthetic. Really good interpretation.
Thanks Primus for Marvel Cinematic Universe, they teach so many good things to the other brands.
I hope you're right!
Well, can you blame them for thinking so when many critics complained about that humans were always in the background in the movies? There even was one article by a critic comparing Pacific Rim and Transformers, and said the former was better because it never took the focus away from humans.
Unfortunately some people think it measures how good a movie is, not how many of those reviewing that liked it. And it does affect how many of GA, the majority of the audience, will see it.
Edit: Bumblebee Movie Review & Film Summary (2018) | Roger Ebert
Some errors here, like this one:
It's a homage to G1, which the animated movie was a part of. And from day 1 they have had Earthlike alt.modes even before visiting Earth. So this critic does not have much knowledge of G1.
*clears my throat*
It's pretty much the only way to easily gauge critical responses to a movie without compiling hundreds of reviews yourself. It's just a tool used to aggregate reception to a film in one convenient place.
Is it not also a review aggregator like RT?
Your comment just made it seem like RT is the only review aggregator, just wanted to mention that there are others.
Oh sorry it's because the general anti-RT sentiments usually stem from "don't listen to what others say!" mantra of any aggregator is bad, and RT specifically as it's the most popular.
But yeah, there's others like Metacritic and the like.
