GIVE TRAVIS FULL FREEDOM TO REBOOT THE FRANCHISE YOU IDIOTS!
NO your an idiot
7 out of the 10 ain't that bad, though, neither is a B+. Bumblebee isn't perfect or the greatest movie ever, but it is without a doubt a fun movie and will help push this franchise along in the right direction.
Thus, making you an actual idiot.
That was a scream into the vacuum, why so insulted?
The audience score for BB is 81...for Aquaman it's 86.
Bumblebee is going to have a fight to be profitable.
I can feel the heat of that sick burn from here.
Scorsese is one of the greatest directors of all time. So I value his opinion.
That's nice, but we're talking about film. And uhh…how is that Metacritic's fault?
Now this sounds SJW. Kidding.
Agree to disagree. I don't think those things are prevalent in TF1, and I definitely haven't seen anyone saying TF1 is meaningfully offensive (well, except you). TF2, I understand, but I think if one finds the 5 second shot of Megan Fox offensive (there's nothing else that's possibly overtly racist, or sexist in the form) then they are looking for something to be offended by. I believe Transformers, when all is said and done, was better received than Bumblebee, when factoring audience sentiment and how the public views it now. We'll have to see which one is still remembered and which one is just a footnote in film history 10 years down the road.
Good discussion, anyway. I found it intellectually stimulating, this type of discourse is what we need more of. Thanks for being civil and well-researched.
I think we need a video series of you just commenting on stuff happening in the forums, like Jimmy Kimmel's mean tweets. It would be absolute gold.
I’m no little kid sheep I’m adult I think for myself I want to see movie I will see movie regardless what movie score is critics do not make movies money people do I like bumblebee I like Easter egg touch by Stan bush in movie.
But if aquaman keeps going at pace what I saw tonight after bumblebee aquaman will crush bumblebee
Edited for clarity.
People who want Bumblebee to do better than Aquaman are wishing for the wrong thing. That's impossible when it's a high budget spectacle and movies like that usually trump the box office. They just need to make it so that it makes a little profit, but it won't be making Aquaman money.
You just described 1-4!
Thank you too. Nice to see a debate end with a reasonable disagreement instead of devolving into a shouting match full of personal insults. These kinds of discussions are increasingly rare on the internet these days.
Also, Bumblebee was fantastic. I hope people who are skeptical can at least give it a try. Even people who were fans of the first Bayformers movie but couldn't defend Revenge of the Fallen still gave Bay three more chances, after all.
Saw it Friday. It was okay. Not bad, but not great either. Doesn't deserve an A imo, more like a B or a 7 out of 10. For once, I agree with what most critics said. It entertained me, and that's all I ask from blockbusters.
I\'m so stoked to see this movie be so well received.. I have always looked forward to seeing the bayverse in action, but im finding my self longing, I mean, truly longing, for the next film... I enjoyed the sh*t out of it..
Me before entering thread: "Oh, cool. While not a fan of the live action films generally, the revenue and visibility they've been able to predictably and regularly inject into the entirety of Transformers for over a decade has helped the brand grow and supported other lines that I do enjoy. While critical reception doesn't always translate into box office profits, it can't hurt and is at least a potential sign of the health of the film, which is good for the health of the brand as a whole, even if I'm not a fan of the Bayverse personally. And since this film tries to bring in fans who were displeased with the previous entries, maybe it will serve as a bridge between different parts of a somewhat factitious fandom. Maybe this topic, for a change, won't be filled with misanthropic rage and people fighting like cats and dogs in overly-semantic circular arguments, and won't result in my ignore list growing by a mile for once."
