For me Bumblebee is a bit different in AOE comparing the times when he was with Sam. He become more rowdy, even other Autobots are complaining that he lost his discipline, he become a bit nervous, emphasizing his independence. Of course I like him even in such appearance, but so I think these changes are due to that he is difficultly going through parting with Sam. He needs human friend whom he could sincerely trust. What do you think? Did you notice these changes? Does Bumblebee need Sam?
"A driver don't pick the cars. Mmm-mm. Cars pick the driver. It's a mystical bond between man and machine."
I don't think Bee needs Sam at all. I think he needs Optimus. They have more of a Father/Son type of bond. Prime spoke to Cade of knowing the ins and outs of raising a teenager. I think the time away from Prime allowed for Bee's teenager side to run unchecked by an adult Mech he respects. I just think Bee needs the guidance of an adult mech that he looks up to and respects.
Bee was pretty cool in my books in the movie. Liked his new look that stayed true to his name sake. I also loved his anger that was aimed at Stinger.
Well, you know, genocide being committed on your kind by the species who you once protected and considered friendly can change a guy
Bumblebee was a total hot head here, his personality and demeanour remind me of more of how he was in the first Transformers movie than in ROTF or DOTM. Hell because of his immaturity I see traces of his TFA and Prime counterparts in him too.
I agree. Prime was there making sure he was on it and at the same time I don't think Bee was use to leading.
For once there was actual personality in Bumblebee in the movies and I found it cute when Optimus made that comment about raising a teenager. That makes my inner father/son fangirl very happy.
Bumblebee definitely seemed to be less even-tempered, but I don't know if this was meant as a nod toward his behavior being altered by the loss of Sam. Either way, he was definitely among my favorite contingencies of the film. I'm under the strong impression that he got the most laughs out of the theater than anything else. Lockdown vs. Bumblebee was awesome too, for as short as it was.
i agree, this was the impression that i got. it seems bumblebee has gone from a younger teenager, to a full blown defiant, teenage type character.. i really enjoyed that aspect of bumblebee in this movie. he definitely had some funny moments.
I liked your words, sound wise! Yeah i very liked him too and I laughed with all my heart at his antics and was happy due to his immediacy. Probably sometimes I am the same as he Although I will soon be 24
