I was wondering what is the reason(s) everyone hates bumblebee? He can't talk, but he had some badass fight scenes. He looks sick, alt mode is one of the best so why hate him?

 

1. The voiceless schtick got annoying fast.
2. His flagship status has ensured that toys of him litter the store shelves instead of more interesting characters.
3. Hasbro has turned him into a generic badass, instead of the more nuanced character he was in his G1 incarnation.

 

He's a shelf and peg warmer everywhere you go and there's too many pointless toys of him along with him being annoying in the movies.

 

Because he takes too much screentime from cooler bots, and he has far too many toys

 

Screen time stealing and frustration from all his damn toys.

 

There toys! I know I want a leader Shockwave and
Megaton and Soundwave but am I Hasbro? even if they did make a toy for Megatron it will probably come out crappy like their previous ones. Every other autobot got satisfying screentime with good battle scenes. Michael Bay probably would've killed off some more autobots with more screentime anyways. Just look at poor Ironhide.

PS: Ultimate Bumblebee(ROTF) is sick!

 

toy infestation. more time spent on repaints instead of making a dotm leader megatron

 

I got bored of the voiceless thing.
Even though he spoke at the end of the first movie...

 

Hate him? no i like him he is the best fighter (well soldier the best fighter is Optimus) and he is funny when he use hid radio for his voice

 

I think Ironhide, Sideswipe, Mirage, Jazz and maybe Jolt and Ratchet are supeior soldiers

 

They are most good at using weapon only some is really good at combat like Bee, Sideswipe, Dino and i dunno about Jolt

 

Ironhide is certainly far superior to Bumblebee

 

Bumblebee is that song tha plays on the radio way too much. Even if you initlly like the song, such repetativeness kills its appeal.

I believe what I'm going to say has already been well said in all the comments above and will continue in the comments after, but....

He was IMO bad ass in the movies. I like Camaros. I don't like the new ones, but in general the 1,2, & 4th Gens are my favorite cars, so that was where a little of my liking for him came from. HOWEVER...

Apparently kids & few other fans in general LOVE Bumblebee a little more than is needed. Which is where my reason of despising the character comes to...
I go TF shopping and there's like 7 different Bumblebee molds, in which there are 40 of each mold cluttering like 5 pegs.. After a while of looking for something I want, or just generally walking by the TF section in general, it makes me want to shove fecal matter down my throat, throw it up, eat my vomit, then repeat 4 times, JUST from seeing that many Bumblebees...

AND knowing we'll never really get a sort of G1ish looking Bumblebee EVER again (bar War For Cybertron), because the yellow muscle car with black stripes will forever be the face of the franchise, and they will ride that look straight into the depths of Hell.. And that's why I hate Bumblebee.

 

I don't hate him. As a matter of fact, I grew to enjoy the character more and more each time I watched the trilogy. But if I were a writer for the fourth film, I would have it so he's either killed off, or fatally wounded and only seen in an ICU-like situation a few times. This is where I would make it so Ratchet gets to do something, you know, medical. My reasoning? Give the other Autobots some time to shine. After viewing DOTM yet again a few hours ago, I grew to like the Wreckers even more.

 

Totally agree! But Bumblebee is still pretty cool. I like mostly the personal interactions btw him and Sam.
