Well I didn't realize you lost your loved ones in the great FIRRIB/FIBRIR War of yesteryear and that this is an emotional topic, but I would argue in this case it's not about the color debate itself, just that @Rated X said only one is canon which is not accurate, and I felt that needed to be pointed out even if you don't want to read about it.

 

Was it sitting on a pallet on the salesfloor? If so I would have just gone ahead and taken it.

 

If only one was cannon Hasbro wouldn't be making red/blue rumble toys or blue/red frenzy toys till this day.

 

Were talking about which is canon for CHUG decisions (like Frenzy) Since when has Ironhide had no face and Bumblebee a face mask in CHUG?

 

With there finally being a frenzy, maybe I should pick up a Takara red visor Soundwave.

Every time I come to this thread hoping that someone has updated it because Target.com has orders up but instead its the same old FIRRIB/FIBRIR debate... we all have our opinion can we move on from it finally? No? Okay... Hopefully I can find one at the Target I'll be passing to meet family on Sunday before going to work.

 

No. In the back. But the first employee said he found it...but didn't want to sell it because of the shelf date.

 

That's exactly how my first attempt went, the second employee I asked went and got it from the back and sold it to me no problem.

Do you know what exact day the Bumblebee cassette pack will be out on shelves next week? Since they are selfdated. Just want to know because I can only go to Target on 2 certain days.

 

They have the shelf dat of the 28th of September.

Just keep a Eye out on brickseek most stores are getting 2 cases of these. there are 4 to a case so 8 total.

 

I just checked. The first one I'm going to has no stock. But I'm not sure if it's because it's sold out or they have not received it yet. The second and third ones maybe, but I'm not going to jinx it.

They must have lied to you because when I found mine on Tuesday, the Soundwaves were on the shelf already and I gave them the DCPI for the Rumble tape set and the guy went right to the back and pulled it out for me. Also ive never seen pallets left accessible to customers in a Target before but its a common practice at Walmart. I use my car key to cut those boxes open, screw asking permission. Once they make them accessible to public view theyre fair game. Just saying...

 

Rumble (  ) looks great, nice comparison! The official pics show it more blue, not as purpleish as the G1 cartoon colors. Btw that was one of the things I never got in the big RIBFIR/FIBRIR debates, to me Rumble/Frenzy is purple, not blue. But I know some people see that light lavender color as blue.
The only problem I have with the toy is the blue optics, but that can be easily repainted.
As for Buzzsaw, undecided... I prefer the more "Classics" style GPS-stickers on CW Buzzsaw's alt mode than the casette sticker, plus he actually has an orange beak and eyes, which is actually making him more cartoon accurate than the new one.

Geeze Louise, why did you scrape off the stickers? They look downright naked this way.   Also that's a weird way to transform the birdies, they look... superdeformed.

I find the Sunbow toon childish and I always preferred the Marvel G1 comics lore to it, personally. But I find it hard to argue for blue Frenzy when for almost the full first season of the G1 show Soundwave only had ONE humanoid casette and ONE bird casette. Frenzy did not show up until episode 14 of the G1 cartoon! Up until then the purple/blue guy was around, used piledrivers and was called Rumble. Frenzy only started showing up after Countdown to Extinction. Poor Buzzsaw, he showed up even less often, maybe 2-3 times?

 

Since I am now an uncle, I will likely put that Bee away for my nephew. He is still less than a year old though, so that'll be a while.
Plus my sister is really adamant that I don't give him any Transformers, she does not want me to turn her son into a TF collector like myself.
