we can only pray & hope this happens
Win x 2
Wow, am I the only one who thinks that the production of this movie has been riddled with bad luck so far? First we get someone injured on set (who then sues Paramount, good for her!), and now Bumblebee t-bones a cop car.
But for a movie in production that has had some bad luck, I'm enjoying this.
Even if a street is closed, the stunt driver should have yielded to an emergency vehicle. It's not entirely the cop's fault nor is the stunt driver off the hook.
Judging that they are saying that the cop car was the one at fault, considering he went beyond a barricade to get in there, and didn't seem to get the call, he is more at fault. I do hope they are all OK, regardless. But, why did he have to get hospitalized, the video looks like he walked out of the SUV to talk to the BB driver and walks back. I'm sure they are just being safe though.
So, everyone who is going all "another lawsuit" crazy, worry not. It was not the movie productions fault. Because the SUV "didn't get the memo" doesn't leave it as an excuse to blame Bumblebee and/or production crew, for hitting a vehicle that should have not been on set. Protocol in the situation of the cop SUV would be to have someone inform the situation to the security around the area before he goes waltzing into play, that way they can stop the scene and let the cop do what he has to do. This was obviously not the case.
For everyone worried about it delaying the movie and ruin it's releasal for all the fans...again, worry not, they have multiple BB's on site for these odd/unexpected situations.
Again, hope everyone is OK, and glad to see the Ferrari guy stopped as good as he did.
Looks like no one got seriously hurt. Didn't look like either vehicle was seriously damaged, just a few weeks in a shop.
If it was an actual stunt, I would say that this could be the Autobots trying to stop the Decepticons, but the humans, prejudiced against alien robots, interfere. As a result, Bumblebee is injured.
Actually, wait, don't put that in there. It'll be another excuse for Bumblebee to lose his voice.
Ouch. Poor Camaro.
Having said that though, I'd imagine that a cop would class responding to an emergency as being a bit more important than a movie. If it's the quickest way to get there, he'd go for it, especially if he wasn't warned (what with the radio channel mix-up thing).
Ehhh, the bigger the production, the more people are involved and the probability of human error goes way up.
I just try and imagine what the cop was thinking in the moments leading up to the accident. "Siren? Check. Walky-talky turned off? Check. Are my wits about me? Hey look. Optimus Prime! I ought to take a picture of that for my k.... WTF?!?"
Off to the C-R chamber for BB?
Yeah, the cop wasn't listening on the right channel.
See Bumblebee, thats why ratchet told you not to play with your radio while you were driving...
Bah! Movie Bumblebee needed a smack.. too bad it wasn't administered by Megatron.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! WHY BUMBLEBEE?! Couldn't have been a ground Decepticon instead????
Damn, somebody on desk duty...
atleast now they have a good reason to put one in the films, don't they
He is following the flow of the scene, he may of not seen the cop right off the bat, considering that he may of been looking straight ahead. That tint is crazy dark too. Have you ever sat in those cars? They are not easy to see out of as is. There are just too many factors into play that would of prevented him from being aware. Not to mention, purhaps the driver thought he was part of the scene. You can't go and blame the BB driver, if you see, why does Optimus and the rest keep rolling as the SUV is driving down the street?
"Oh shit, what're we gonna do now!?"
Still a movie set is a busy area. Siren or not, warning or not, driving through one in the middle of filming would be needless endangering the cast and crew. And I'm not saying it like they're too famous or improtant to hurt, it's just common sense.
Not eveyone will be able to jump out of the way of a speeding cop car like in the movies or on tv.
