Crazy to think this concept is from all the way back in 2017. That means most of designs must have been finalized fairly early on. I'm curious to see when they had started working on the Cybertron scene considering the numerous assets and designs that had to be created.
Pretty cool art! It's interesting that he has the Bay face. I wonder if they were just reusing assets, or if he was actually intended to have that design at one point. I'm also really glad they changed the feet to the tennis shoe design. I really don't like those 'toe feet' that so many movie designs have.
Agreed. Iirc the Cybertron scenes were a later addition to the movie too Ikr? reminds me of how much I won't miss the Michael Bay Bee head.
So I'm guessing these concepts were for Nightbird before she was changed into Shatter. Otherwise, I can't tell what this is supposed to be.
Interesting how Blitzwing looks pretty much the same in all of these concepts. I hope we see some early designs for the character. That might determine if he was ever intended to be Sarscream or not (I still say he wasn't). I'm guessing that robot is Shatter without the vehicle parts. Either a pre-Earth form, or (more likely) just a test of the skeleton underneath. I honestly don't like any of those designs too much. Too many organic shapes, and too cluttered with parts. Can anyone tell what car parts those are?
