If only they had done this (along with releasing the car in general) back in 2007. This model could save GM from it's woe's like the Dodge Caravan saved Chrysler a couple decades ago as it is still one of the most anticipated models to come out from any car company in years. Demand is high, so we'll see. I'd get one if I had the scratch.

what i wonder is if its gonna have the front end in the pics there or just the regular Camaro front end? [cuz there IS a difference. the one in the pics is MUCH cooler IMO]

Here are some details:
– Available for order starting June 1
– Production run will be June 24 through December.
– Color: Rally Yellow (no custom paint, bummer) with black bumblebee stripes
– Transformers badging on wheel centers, sill plates and embroidered console lid
– Available in LT or SS models

Not sure of the price.

 

Not surprising about the paint. IIRC, it costs almost as much as the production car itself.

 

I went to a local chevy dealer the other day and sat in a red LT. A very nice car, but there is no way I could afford it. Financing the amount, and taxes, and my tradein, which would be an additional $2000 since I haven't paid off my current car, and my monthly payment would be $750-$800. The dealer did say that "payments would be more affordable if you put down $8000-$9000." Like I am going to put down 3/4 the price of an economy car.

 

My dealer told me about this last night think about putting my order in on the 24th.

Can you do that? According to the article: "Available To Order Starting June 1st". Regardless, I need to go see my dealer. I've had a camaro on order since October 13th 2008. It still hasn't been built. At this point, I think maybe I should try to change my order to this Bumblebee package. But I haven't seen anything about the price of the package.

 

I meant June 24 not May sorry my mistake. My younger brother put his order in last year he got a call from the dealer while he was in Vegas and they told him around July 17th. The dealer got a black one in last week and it was sold before it was taken off the truck.

 

I'm sure that was for the SS LT2 package. The base Camaro with 303 HP starts at just below $23K. While not cheap by any means, it is still very reasonable for what you get. BTW, I'd love to have one of these Bumblebee editions.
