Good numbers for bumblebee right now ($290M) worldwide surpassed spiderman and Mary poppins.

 

I have never been so happy seeing China supporting a Transformers movie. It has done close to $60M in its first weekend. Currently forecasted to do $150M in China.

Fingers crossed that good word of mouth will up those numbers.

17 days in and already a box office bigger than twice its own production budget. I can tell that things are starting to look up for Bumblebee. I don't think it can be considered a box office bomb anymore at this point.

And yes I am fully aware that it's not near anything of the Michael Bay movies... yet.

I think we can start to stop worrying about Bumblebee. Okay it's not completely there yet to actually make a noticable profit. But we can see it's starting to venture into financially safe territory. So now I don't have to be stressed anymore.


I know Travis Knight will never read this message but but congrats Travis Knight you have made your first live action (also Transformers) that is critically AND financially succesfull. Your efforts paid off and you should be very proud.

 

Meanwhile Aquaman will be crossing 1 billion soon, WTF...

 

So what let them be.

 

Can't we all write him a THANK YOU letter. Travis Knight is the real Last Knight. I think he wrote a letter to the fans ??

Y'know, after looking at China's numbers (where WoM helped the movie explode after weak presales), I could see potentially $500 million worldwide happening when all is said and done. It depends on how Japan reacts to the film and how its international holds are from here on out. It's going to be close, but I think $500 million is very doable.

 

What’s the reason the japan release date is so far behind everywhere else? Considering it’s a strong transformers market?

 

So that whole push from China has given Bumblebee a larger WW box office compared to Spiderverse and Mary Poppins(which to be fair has no China release).

 

The numbers from China haven’t been added on yet but so far £289 million has been made.

 

I believe that is the total with China as Box Office Mojo is weird in that it will sometimes show the correct foreign gross, but not update the individual countries.

Anyway, this is very good and should result in a more profitable film than TLK in the direction it's heading.
